AFLW 2024 - Round 2 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Think it's pretty bad...That's why he sounds like Shiel to me.Can’t be worse than Shiel surely
Wardlaw highlights definitely look elite but the injuries are a worry with our S&C. Although I back our recruitment team to choose correctly either way. Very interesting period coming upThink it's pretty bad...That's why he sounds like Shiel to me.
Still Wardlaw for me.
I wish unlike some on here I'm Not jealous of others success.Westcoast88 is that you Knightmare?
Rather be a troll than a fake afl agent. Its a troll account, started 2 days ago.
Hey, you show some respect to the president of Whore Island thanksRather be a troll than a fake afl agent.
Like Wardlaw over tsatas but the gap is narrowing.I definitely like what he offers. I can understand the outside sentiments but I don’t think he’s so ‘completely outside’ like some suggest. Has serious pace and bursts out of stoppages in a very impressive way. Kicking is probably the biggest knock I’ve seen on him though which is a bummer
I deliberately missed 3rd round because it ain't worth much. I hope you prove me wrong and eagles get the deal. It will never happen though hawks arent stupid, go on the hawks thread and offer it to them if your so confident if enough of them agree ill happily concede ?If the
Will have to completely disagree here….
You have conveniently missed the start of 3rd round they get back.
If they wanted a Sheezel or Warlaw ect they need to pay a premium to get it and the difference between the future 2nd and 3rd is the difference they pay. On this years ladder that’s pick 24 vs 38.
Pick 2 (2517 points)
Pick 6 and 24 (2536 points)
Difference is the futures, the premium they pay to get the kid they want.
Your the one who doesn't like trading future picks and is willing to wait and be patient for the rebuild. I agree with you.Hey, you show some respect to the president of Whore Island thanks
I’m not confident at all…. The conversation was that the Hawks and Eagles had talked about pick 2. I gave what I thought would be a good deal for the Eagles. We don’t need to trade pick 2 and we only would if we felt we got great compensation.I deliberately missed 3rd round because it ain't worth much. I hope you prove me wrong and eagles get the deal. cleaning up this thread will be a knightmare for you keysOk. We’ve established why Knightmare may or may not be the most reliable source of information on draftees so let’s keep the focus on discussion of the actual draftees
Not as much of a nugget. Jack Macrae perhaps?I hear descriptions of Tsatas and getting very strong Dylan Sheil vibes. Would that be a reasonably fair comparison??
Does the lad have the base raw core strength to become more Judd like? (no pressure son)
He has openly criticised clubs the day after the draft for who they took. I can’t elaborate much more than that but it isn’t hard to see why when you go over his history.
It’s a reason but it’s not the only oneNot getting involved in all the other stuff, but this says everything about the industry if this is a reason enough not to hire someone
All this talk about not trusting our S&C to fix Wardlaws hamstrings is a bit silly. It's a theme everyone on here has latched onto and Wardlaw gets dismissed as a draft option. It feels like it diminishes the conversation.
If they hammies are fixable, the club will fix em or find a specialist who can.
If Wardlaw is a clear pick at #2, I can't see ROB hesitating because "ooh, I just don't trust our clubs medicos".
Tunas Champion Data ranking points were higher then all the other oily fish. The other reason is he eats tuna for lunch at his desk
I think of JM as being a very good kick for the most part. Sam Walsh is also pretty damn strong. If he ends up anything like those two, he should be our#1.Not as much of a nugget. Jack Macrae perhaps?
Hs kicking is generally okay. Has bombed a few goals from 50 as well. A bit like Sam Walsh IMO. Not amazing bullets but solid enough to hit most targets all day long.
My criticism is when at top speed he can spray it a little. There might only be a few guys in the AFL good enough to do that, most slow down 20% right at the end befoe thay kick to get the correct drop but that's more an experience thing than not being able to kick.
Individual clubs are not allowed to do seperate medicals on draftees prior to the draft.
18 clubs bringing in 3 or 4 specialists while the guys are doing exams!!!Why not?
Twas based on their underage years from 2020.Fwiw Cal Twomeys Form guide and how it evolves
June 2021
Vs Nov 2021
Interesting he had Chesser and Jack Williams so high in the June one
Chesser has been a real bust. People on here pinning their hopes on a player who has had his entire debut year wiped out by injury and before that missed a huge chunk of his draft year are dreaming. Chesser has missed valuable development time to the point where there is now major risk that he has stunted his potential in some way. I think he is less than a 50/50 bet to be an a grader. Could be Tony Notte all over again. Our youngstees are the worst in the comp, sadly the cupboard is virtually bare. Culley shows a bit and thats about it. Under 23 we are worst in comp. It's going to be a long rebuild.Twas based on their underage years from 2020.
WA played a few games late in the year - WA Black vs WA Gold and Williams played quite well and kicked a few goals. So really impressed a few with the performance so was high on draft boards leading into 2021.
Chesser always had strong athletics profile and from memory a good 2020, but was dominant early in 2021.
