1. No background research was carried out before posting.

2. With a bid for Ashcroft it was never really pick 3 anyway.

He's clearly FOS. Probably does some research for them. Wouldn't have access to the information he claims he has. Some people like a higher being who knows more than them, even though deep down they know it's not real. But that's not for everyone. Some people don't like people passing off opinion as fact. Old Mate Philly is a fraud.
I’m pretty sure he isn’t Finn O’Sullivan

This is one of those articles you read and genuinely hate yourself for getting sucked in and genuine day long remorse for wasting 5mins of your life.

Never heard this before
He won’t have one because it’s garbage. Same poster that was complaining that we shouldn’t have split the pick and taken Humphrey.

Gone quiet on that seeing Humphrey had a quiet season and now trying to tell us that Nth were going to take Cadman.

I don’t mind posters having a crack at the club so long as it actually has some element of truth to it.

If someone doesn’t like the fact the club split the pick that’s completely fine, however there’s no sense in trying to justify that by just making sh1t up.

Pretty rough on Burgiel but hopefully it clicks for him as a train on player and gets his body right.
Thought he’s shown more upside than Barnett but the big boys take longer to develop, see him transition to the backline. We would need to pick up another ruck.

Anyone know what’s happening with Max Knobel contract? seems to be left in limbo. When do lists need to be finalised? Hopefully pick him up as a DFA

I’m still disappointed we traded our pick 3, but I have come to accept we have raised our floor next year which should result in more wins than this year. Hopefully not at the detriment of the rebuild, but time will tell.

Hopefully we can pick up a midfield slider at our first pick, see more of Harley rise to the top echelon, and see Hewett and Longy get some minutes next year.

If Owies gets a game it should be alongside Long, not instead of him. In no world should Owies be selected ahead of Long, who has shown himself as capable at the level and should be given every opportunity to develop. I'm more than happy to see Long play up the field but it should be at AFL level, not WAFL.
Owies should definitely be ahead of Long...

We don't know if Long will come back well from his injury... Owies is actually a good pickup because of this.

Realistically by mid season Long may be putting enough pressure on the senior side through performance in WAFL.

We will have to be patient with Long unfortunately

Owes will get a game all season long ahead of Noah long as a forward pocket.. why because he is a specialist forward pocket whereas Long is in undersized midfielder who was chucked in the forward pocket to try and learn it in one of Simpsons moves. He isn’t a long kick, a great kick at goal and in 20 odd games has kicked 9 goals in total… no way in the world he plays there ahead of Owies.

I think they're different types of forwards and can definitely play together, Owies is an inside fwd 50 forward where Long is a high half forward who plays up the ground to help with transition.

A few people (Clarke included) have said we could trade future picks to get back into this year's first round.

Richmond currently has six top-20 picks (1, 6, 10, 11, 18, 20). If we did trade back in, what would we have to give up to get Richmond's pick #6?
Probably more than most fans would be willing to stomach.

WC F1 and Hawthorn’s F2 is ball park what Richmond might agree to.

Long isn't a Cripps replacement.

Cripps has no one in line for his position.

Hopefully Champion can pop up and be the freakish small crumbed we need.

Champion looks very exciting and something we lack up fwd. crumbing, pressure, X factor

Surely our own F1 would be enough for pick 6 since that's likely to be a top 5 pick.
It should be, but you are asking a team to delay it’s own rebuild, by moving on a high end pick.

The buying team almost always pays overs when dealing with any team other than Gold Coast, when chasing a pick in the current draft.

More than likely Richmond want to keep their top 4 picks, and trade some of their end of first round picks for future first round picks.

Agree, Long is more of a Cripps type who can push well up the ground, we've lacked a pure small forward for a while
