I don’t see any asterisks on the 01 to 03 teams. Nor Geelong’s 11 team.

Father son kids are luck of the draw. As for academy kids, well that’s inside AFL rules to.

No asterisks on the 01 to 03 teams . You had a bigger salary cap. You lobbied afl for academies because you want more and more free kicks

I think west coast deserve credit for picking shuey and Darling fairly low and getting good players. West coast finished last and didn't get number 1 pick either because of expansion club.

Sounds like your on Brisbanes side. Darling was overlooked by everyone and you see him as assistance, he was a great steal by our club in a draft heavily compromised by a qld club.

I see someone hard to knock off the footy who get clearances and tackles, i have him better than at least 10 on our list, and with our S&C monkeys we need all the mature body depth we can get so guys like Hough, Chesser, pick 2 etc dont get smashed to bits as teenagers

Narkle will be 25 soon, I don't particularly want to see our club bring in anyone older than 23. Think we have enough mature oldies to help young guys as it is we dont need more, we need youth.

GC can always ask for “Ambassadorial” payments for a player if they really, really need to be bailed out.

There’s been enough posts on our board highlighting all the external benefits certain Vic teams are able to offer players, for them to take a lesser contracts, that we aren’t in a position to offer.

Sh!t our players have to go out and find their own sponsorship deals, and there aren’t any local media gigs at any level here.

I’m sure there are West Coast players that have walked in to some favourable post footy careers, or their parents have been gifted a new you beaut harvester or tractor, office or house, etc.

I was referencing COLA. Everyone knew they were getting extra cap space. We didnt know the AFL was also providing the hard cash as well. It was how they afforded Buddy.

Once it came out the AFL was providing the actual hard cash as well it was canned.

As for your points about poor Lions players having the chase their own sponsors etc. If the club isnt helping with that Id be surprised. Why wouldnt they? Brisbane isnt a backwater town either and Im sure things have improved since the Brisbane Bears days.

Media gigs in Melbourne? There are 10 clubs and 400 odd players in Melbourne too.

I stand to be corrected but I don’t think they’ve got much in the way of academy products on their list either, if any. Certainly not anything in a Sydney or GWS level

Until Fagan arrived they were a basket case and I don’t really think they’ve had the same assistance/leg up the other northern clubs have had

Yeah well the Eagles travel more than any other side along with Freo and we don't ask for a dam thing. Yes, the priority picks were positioned as 1, 2, 3 but if removed the 4, 5, 6 would move to 1, 2, 3 and the Eagles still take Judd at 3.

well it sounds like you are a pretty big fan, if you think west coast have had a pretty easy run with things, feel free to seek refuge elsewhere. This club has done it the hard way, unlike your second favourite. 2018 flag eagles had very few top 10 picks compared to other flag teams and winning it from the other side of the country when it should have been played in Perth by all rights. If you cant see this, then your not much of a supporter mate.

We will probably miss out though, we are not known to get free kicks, we always do it the hard way and still succeed anyway. Brisbane need all the freebies they can get because they lack our heart, our spirit.

Given half a team, a bigger salary cap, an academy, but no they dont get any help. Eagles travel every second week with no top 10 draft picks for 10 years and we still land a flag winning it in victoria, pretty amazing feet if you ask me. I am proud of our great club.

If we supposedly have the cash there for a crack at Jackson then we could surely afford the Bowes deal

Duffield alluded on his pod that Nisbett is very particular about who gets what in the cap and its probably reason why we reportedly haven't had any interest as yet.
