So GWS will receive pick 12 and 19 for Taranto…

They’ll now have 3,12,19, 21, 40 and 58

Plus whatever else they get for Hopper, Bruhn and Hill

How many points would lions need from that pick 15? pick 15 is about 1.1k points, does 26+27 which is about 1.4k points make sense?

Have to imagine the Suns would be all over it considering they have like 3 2nds or whatever they have
We can match them...the issue if we make this deal it would subject to whose available at pick 15. If Hewitt slides, i will be trading picks 20, 26 and 27 to get him

Some players seem to be able to play with pain, some don't. I'd categorize SPS as the latter. Guys like Zorko can hobble around for 3 quarters and still play effectively.
Sean Darcy thread. Seemingly picks up a LTI but plays out the game, and fronts up the following week.

J.J was a good get from Geelong, but I'm very weary of their delisted discards.

Who was that bloke (6 odd years ago) won the Cats reserves B&F, iirc the Liston also (VFL best), was basically Geelongs best fringe player, came over and did nothing here.

For the sake of it, Let's dissect Narkles input Quinton Narkle hasn't really done anything to prove his anything more the XON
You could make a case that XON has been less in the system but has been on steady rise each season and is improving at a better rate then Narkles. Narkles stats are not that impressive. This will be his sixth season in the AFL. Nothing indicates he is better then XON or warrants selection over XON. If anything it's the other way around. XON>Narkle

Consistently drafting players in the top end and never being able to retain them because there’s simply too many to play and or pay?

No worries GWS. I’ll trade you our delicious Pick 2 for your crummy picks 12, 19 and 21.

What’s your thoughts on what they end up with?
Bruhn pick 18 ?
Hill 2nd rounder ?
Hooper Tigers future 1st?

Cannot figure out who you're referring to here

Liam Bedford? And it was 12 years ago and I had the honour of sponsoring him for his sole year at the footy club😂

I think the Hopper and Taranto stuff is baked in to the above. Second rounder for Hill but they’d have to keep some draft pick.

GWS can’t pay and retain all their first rounders. Some merit in quality over quantity for them.

GWS hit the draft with picks 2 and 3.
Eagles hit the draft with 12, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 (Rioli).

Seems like a massive win win and yes we probably don’t get that high end star this year but six picks in the 12-27 range seems like a no brainer for where our list profile is at.

Caveat as always is that I know **** all about this draft class but I’m a big believer across all sports in throwing as many darts as you can, especially inside the early rounds.

What about 2 for 12 and their first next year. We then try trade two second rounders to Brisbane for 15. So two first rounders this year and 2 first rounders next year and likely higher in a stronger draft?
