Can't help but feel Freo have been bent over, and none of these picks help with Jackson.

Perhaps feathers thought that because of Weller precedent, clubs would simply give a top 10 pick for anyone on their list.

Could be something in that, many freo players have left and then went on to become all Australians.

How do we put what appears to be a good offer to Melbourne for Jackson (even if we are only winding up Freo) without involving trades with a third club? To involve a third club, unless we are serious, would be disingenuous unless we have a mate at a third club who is in on the joke.
We can make a trade to split pick 2 that we would be happy with even if we don't end up trading for Jackson. 2 for 3 and 19 or 3 and 21 with GWS for example.

How about 2 and 20 for 3 and 12, then giants get picks 2 and can get Cadman or Sheezel or similar. Then we could sell 3 to next bidder for top 10 and top 20 pick

Better idea is to sell Freo up the river that we're considering giving them pick 2 and then pull the rug on the final day 🙃
We definitely made a mistake ruling that out so early. We have the threat of the PSD (obviously depending on Jackson’s instentions) so we should have drawn it out for as long as possible to get both clubs panicking a bit more

I'd certainly be happy with that. Offer Melb pick 3 alone for Jackson and nothing else. Pick 3 alone beats Cockburn's offer of 2 picks in the teens.

Completely hypothetical

If we could get GWS to swap pick 2 and 20 for 3 and 12.

Offer Dees pick 3 for Jackson. I reckon they would seriously look at it and maybe throw in a future 3rd worse case future 2nd in for negotiations.

We have Jackson, 12, 26, 27 and 38

Is Cadman and pick 20 future 3rd > Jackson and pick 12 ?
Stealing my posts boys ;)

Freo surely be interested in whatever capital they can get from us for Meek for use on Jackson.

Think I’m right in saying the two clubs haven’t done an AFL trade since 2000.

I guess that streak has to end eventually, but us sticking our noses into the Jackson deal probably isn’t doing much for relations.

With Josh Corbett nominating Fremantle, the Dockers and Suns will work on a package trade for he and Jeremy Sharp. Gold Coast will push for a decent return for Sharp. If a deal can’t be reached for both together, Corbett will still be done for a later pick - perhaps a future 4th.

Lol well they look to be loosing whatever picks they got from Logue and Tucker.

Sorry for intrusion. Just want west coast supporters thoughts on this.

Swans give 14,17 future second.

West coast give pick 2.

West coast then on trade 14 and a future first to demons for Jackson.

Would love for you guys to take the rug out from under freo ?
How about the following:

Pick 2 and 38

for

14, 17 and your future first (likely a late teens)

Sydney get Cadman to partner with McDonald

Assuming Freo send some future picks off for these players - I can see GC and GWS getting in a bidding war for Brisbane's 2023 1st.

With the McStay compo coming in the 2nd round, I just don't see any way they keep their 2023 1st (no point anyway, as it would get consumed by bids this year and probably hit their 2nd as well - may as well trade it for excess 2022 points and keep their 2023 2nd intact).

And they want Dunkley also.

Something has got to give over at Brisbane, might be one to watch.

Swans are in unique spot where we nearly have too many in that lower age bracket. With first rounders like Campbell and sheldrick sitting in the two's.

Taking two first rounders this year makes little sense to me
