It may not hurt anyone. But what happens if a player refuses to do it? We will see I guess.
We won't see.

I've no doubt there would be a number of players opposed to this, but it could be career destroying to refuse.

Imagine being compelled to make a political statement by your employer or otherwise face mass ostracisation.

even more fun watching the wokeness in your beloved Victoriastan take hold
Its awesome isn't it? The desperate clutching at straws, the use of hot-button terms vainfully hopeful of a bite, all the while looking like impotent fools. It's all on display here!

Actions speak louder than words, but to have two big clubs come together, under the spotlight of a footy starved public is a great way to show that the AFL is right behind the BLM movement and all it stands for.

I wonder if the AFL supports this?

The AFL should 'get behind' the BLM cause and 'all it stands for' right? Including the sentiment that 'whiteness is not humaness'.

I would say the AFL definitely support it, if they can get a new sponsor and i would say the AFL players association with Mr Woke himself Dangerfield would also support it, it all sounds pretty hip over a double soy latte.

They also call for the destruction of the west, defunding Police and the traditional family unit.

did anyone say Marxism ......

A mistake rather than a lie - he’s not intending to deceive or hoodwink anyone. The convicts weren’t slaves, they served their sentences as labour for the settlers and were then freed. The real slaves were the South Sea islanders that were rounded up and brought here to work by various means.
Slave trade was a huge part of the western world. A thing which makes people a bit awkward. As you said. South sea workers, aboriginal maids were all slaves. Not systematic as some other countries, but to dismiss any slavery in Australias part is naieve at best.

ROFL

REDS UNDER THE BED!

Ita actually racist to compare the African American experience with the indigenous Austalian one just because they have the same skin color. Thats racial profiling at it purest. No one in America is holding up signs saying "Native American Lives Matter". This is a different cause altogether that requires it's own response.

I sincerely hope a player does refuse, because it’s extremely doubtful that all 44 players on that ground would support the cause....But these days people are actually getting pressured into doing ( or not doing in this case ) things they don’t truly support or actually believe themselves.....The AFL should of left this issue alone, just like they should of left the same-sex marriage issue alone....They are a sporting organisation, not a political party, & therefore they should not lean on any of there constituents to go a certain way....Eg To take a knee tonight, or to vote “Yes”....It’s not there jurisdiction.

Does the AFL assume all viewers agree with their stance?
Of course they don't. That's why they're doing it- to educate the neanderthals that make up a part of their audience.

True, I’m sure there’s more than a few strong supporters of murder among the playing group.

Would like someone to stay standing, and when asked why, say they standing for the 80 people shot in Chicago this week who aren’t getting a mention.
