Gold coast has been down that path, Did not work. So now the time they followed the Hawthorn, Geelong, Richmond path of having a dominant Midfield and one or two KPP,
Their defensive talls look Good enough to cope if they had a Midfield capable of standing up, they have a couple of tall Forward capable, add Luko and they are set in that area, but they do not have depth in the middle and they need pace. A great spine is useless if you don't win the ball.

They've just lost both captains ...and their CHF and FB ......how are they ok for KPD's .....how are they ok for KPF's .....2 meter Peter is rumored to be off next year

They will have Thompson and Hombsch and KPB with Joyce/Leslie as the 3rd defenders

Same as Doedee is to the Crows, or Lever was last year. with Thompson and Hobsch as the 2 key defenders, Collins can play that 3rd role or maybe Leslie or Even Chris Burgess going back. then there a chance for Ballard to move into the side.
What I am saying is Gold Coast need Midfielders before KPP, therefore will most likely pick up Luko and Rankine,
Luko because of he too good to pass, and Rankine would be one of the best outside mids/forwards in the Draft. before the King Twins,

Gold Coast are the same as St Kilda, they need everything in equal measure, and will take best available regardless of position played. Carlton is the only member of the terrible trio which needs one thing ahead of anything, that being midfielders, because they stocked up with talls already in recent drafts.
