Picks 2, 3 & 6 is a massive hand to hold in this draft. No way are GC doing any trade of any type for these picks.

Let's just accept that we'll take our current picks to the draft and hopefully draft some very good players.

Gold Coast are not the basket case they are portrayed as. Had a schedule and injury list from hell this year. Have finally got a good coaching panel, excellent facilities, back office now professional, AFL firmly holding their hand, ditched all the trouble making players, have great weathewr through winter. Will improve next year and following years. Getting players to defect from them in future will be much harder and if a player wants to go they'll play very tough.

Agree, the Suns are not going to be world beaters next year but certainly better than the media would have you believe. We have a small supporter base so are easy targets , think about how bad Carlton have been in the last 20 years and the Suns get 10 times the negative press the bloos do.

I think the Crows have a strong hand as well and should also take it to the draft.

You’re correct, and I think his height was the factor that influenced me, given we traded in two small forwards

The other factor was I was looking at a tall with #21 ..... but he is a very good player, that’s going to be a “boomer” Harvey type player

Whether he fits in with our list Management structure ... who knows ?

Seems to be plenty of noise for Port grabbing King, with GC hot on Caldwell.

Guess we see how much they value getting the SA trifecta

So looking likely that we get either King, Caldwell or Rozee at our first pick.. Would be stoked with any of those 3.

Feel like Port's first pick is the one that will dictate the rest of the first round. Top 4 looking pretty set from the reports coming out.

Think he’s a different type of player to the small forwards we traded in, though, which means it should be fine list balance-wise. Better pressure player than Murphy/McAdam/Stengle, for one, and more midfield potential, too. I actually don’t think the height will be much of a problem for the type of player he is, he’ll rotate between being a half forward and an inside mid

The question mark on him is he’s not all that quick. He more than makes up for it with his evasion, though, which IMO is just as vital to have as speed, but he doesn’t have the Boomer straight line quickness

The rumour was predicated on something none of us have considered- ie we know we can't get a Luko so we are in for M King. Maybe we've spoken to Port and know they want B King and so the twins separation issue is lessened.

Is that true? Who knows.
