Afl loves this shit. Keeps it in the news cycle. Crows aren't getting luko, rankine or rozee. Needed to be done during trade period to nab one of these lads. All 3 going to gc will be a blessing in disguise if it eventuates. See us getting back at least 2 of the SA boys in 2 to 3 years. Players out of contract always cost less.
I think Gws could help. If you don't bid on Briggs, we could swap 11,52 for 16,21. You then have 8,11,13. Would gold coast might accept 3 for 8 and 11. St Kilda would probably accept 4 for 8,11 ( I guess you would only do if rankine or lukokious is available).

Why would the Suns give up pick 2 or 3 this year and a probable top 5 pick next year for you to get a player you desperately want and then accept 8 , 16 and probably a pick around 13 next year. That is a terrible trade for us
Brisbane isn't going ti finish in the bottom 5 next season, youre also getting our 21 this year. You profit from us now before we raid you for those boys in 3 years time for a packet of chips, when you can't execute their development properly.

BREAKING NEWS ... Thieves have broken into GWS and stolen pick 52, there were no witnesses.

Picks 2, 3 & 6 is a massive hand to hold in this draft. No way are GC doing any trade of any type for these picks.

Let's just accept that we'll take our current picks to the draft and hopefully draft some very good players.

Gold Coast are not the basket case they are portrayed as. Had a schedule and injury list from hell this year. Have finally got a good coaching panel, excellent facilities, back office now professional, AFL firmly holding their hand, ditched all the trouble making players, have great weathewr through winter. Will improve next year and following years. Getting players to defect from them in future will be much harder and if a player wants to go they'll play very tough.
They have had 15 players leave this year.

Some cracking rumours going around - This from the Kennel

8/16 to Dogs, 7/27 to Saints, 4 to Crows

Carlton
Rankine
Luko
M King
B King
Caldwell

Have heard this one doing the rounds although involved the 2019 1st being swapped with GC 2019 1st.

Unconfirmed scuttlebutt though
That is right up there with the worst deals of all time

So we give up 2 and 3 and pick 1 (potentially) next year for

8,13,16,21 and ( potentially) 15-18

Makes the Weller deal look like a steal, wheres the unlike button :(

Wowsers. ...soooo....Geelong and Hawthorn can trade away....but Adelaide can't ???
I know the mechanics of the rule ...but seriously....this fails common sense !!!

Ahh it is on the surface, but if St Kilda want Smith they need to get in front of the bulldogs as the rumors are they (bulldogs) want Smith

Edit: if St Kilda were seeking to trade down to get another pick and still take smith
Moot point it appears .... popular belief is now, nothing will happen in the top 10 order
