I'd take Bedford before Mosquito, serious set of wheels and the best small pressure forward in this draft, tackles like Byron Pickett
Didnt know a great deal about Bedford, will have a look at some vision.

IMO Butters is a smarter footballer (which is saying something because I think Gallucci’s smarts are underrated here). Also more evasive and a better kick

Less overall athleticism though
Someone show me where this literally mentions a comparison is their draft year.

And to be fair this wasn't the only one - just the straw...

Do they send us back 27?
Possibly, if it means them getting their targeted players

The Bulldogs are believed to have met this week with Western Jets pair Xavier O'Halloran and Zak Butters, fueling the thought that they could be open to moving back down the order in the first round, where Butters and O'Halloran are likely to fit given they are not in the frame for No.7.

I’d do 7 and 27 for 13 and 16

Dogs get Butters and O’Halloran (they’re both rumoured to be of interest to them), we get, say, Smith and Caldwell
Would be all over that myself. Wow, picks 7, 8, 21 and 27 is a mighty draft hand.

As you said, Smith/Rozee, Caldwell, Williams and a McLennan/Sparrow/Bytel/Duursma/Ohalloren/McHenry type

That's start the car time

Some talk of Bulldogs perhaps moving out of the top 10 ...to get two teen picks

Tell me ...would you do #13 & #16 ....for Bulldogs #7

Tough call. I could see why the dogs would do it though.
Maybe if 2 of Ben King, Caldwell, Rozee were available I would.

Always when I’ve done those comparisons it means from their draft year, it’s just gone assumed every time I’ve done it (even though direct comparisons don’t come up that often, more ‘playing styles’)

If we can’t get 2 or 3 from GC, yeah I would probably do it.

7 and 8 gets us two genuine guns possibly Caldwell and Smith or could be one of them play B King.

At 21 there is bound to be a very good prospect and at 27, that is a pretty good pick for Hamish in any draft really.

Yeah I would do it.

Smith (or B. King)
Caldwell
Williams
McHenry and a Hamish special

Yeah, I am in.

Pass on Smith

How about 7/27 gets us 4. We take the Kings at 4 and 8, leave Smith for the Saints at 7
Think the Smith go home talk is overblown to be honest (unless you’ve heard otherwise), wouldn’t surprise me if he just didn’t want to go to GC, for the sake of his development lol

I’d love Smith at 7, he’s only just behind Walsh as a prospect IMO
