I don't think that the club would have any interest in Salopek, to be honest. He's just a little too old to really be worth recruiting. However, Horlin-Smith + Hunt for Boak... I'd consider it. Throw in a 3rd-rounder instead of Salopek, please.

I like that part. He could develop into a great left-footer no doubt, once he stops kicking with his (preferred) right foot of course.
I can't see Geelong using one of their GA jr compensation picks for an existing listed AFL player. Stephen Wells knows what's best for the club, and other than Marcus Drum (no fault of Wells or Drum), he's done brilliantly.
I like the way that we've neatly ignored the suggestion that we trade away our first-rounder + compo pick for Boak. If it came to that or nothing... then Travis would be heading to Norf. Sorry.
Port do still need to agree to terms... and if money was the issue, he'd stay at Port anyway, I'd guess. You think, if he goes "Thats it, im finished with port I want to become a cat" then the ball is soley in our court to pay him as we see fit.
If there is another potential suitor then he could squeeze a bit more out of us!!
Pretty sure Salopek is a free-agent at end of the year anyway so why would you want to accept a guy you can get for nothing as part of the deal?
Same applies going the other way for Hunt.
Or am I missing something?
Boak for Horlin-Smith and maybe a second round pick is doable

Good Lord... Motlop!?!?! I'd rather Motlop than Boak.
One 'motlop' is fine by me, it's when the heat is on and you need all hands to the pump and you have a couple ala Carlton with Garlett/yarran/betts etc and they go missing, that's when you're in trouble.Motlop looks great when on , his best is very good but I'm still a little concerned about his "Motlop-ness" , his ability to do non Geelong things. If the right trade was offered id consider it seriously. Woulld he want out of our system an into Ports... not sure. He is getting a regular game atm but will that always be? I really doubt it. Too many other talented players who's absolute peak may not be as good as Motlop but they will be more rounded contributers , I cant see him being anymore than a fringe player@ Geelong
Article in the Age confirming that Toy is more than likely heading back to Victoria.

St Kilda very keen on Josh Walker and Bulldogs are right into Mitch Brown. Cats not keen about trading either but hand may be forced ala Mumford.
Jesse Stringer will be part of the offer to Port for Boak.
GHS untouchable.
Stringer looks a very good player to me....
