Gutted. Couldn't even watch the last couple of minutes had to turn the TV off. Wasted too many opportunities in the first half to really put them on the canvas running into half time. After half time its hard to pinpoint exactly what was going on. Seemed we just went back into our shells and played scared slow footy. Can't stand Martin, almost wish we just had Guthrie play a hard tag on Martin all game because he was the main problem. Reiwoldt and Lynch did jackshite up until the last quarter.

Too gutted to say much more now. Gonna be a long wait until we can have a crack again next year. At least hopefully we have Cameron but yeah alot of issues to work through thats for sure.

Exceeded my preseason expectations but still confused how it fell apart so quickly tonight.

We had to kick those goals in the 2nd.
Danger should have played in the middle in the 3rd.
I still don’t understand why we looked so tired in 2nd half.

Richmond too good in second half. That is some system they have. And their superstar stood up, ours faded. A couple of coaching errors- Scott a bit too stubborn, after a great year of coaching.
Farewell to Gaz -it’s been a joy and I wish him all the best. Will be missed, as will Harry.

The game plan was fine for a half. Just ran out of legs.

I don't believe we ran out of legs. That sounds more like an excuse than anything. We were toying with them in the first half and they were doing all the chasing. We lost because they executed their game plan much better in the second half, and in the last it almost looked like the players gave up. That's not what you want to see of course, but when you're getting smashed like that it's hard to not feel completely helpless.

Questions have to be asked on why we have coughed up a 4 goal lead to Richmond in consecutive years in a final.

We were just so dominant in the first half and it's hard to fathom the complete loss of control and system after the main break.

It won't as I think Paddy is struggling in comparison to what he was. He has bursts left in him but not games. He needs to play down forward to preserve him. The issue I think is we are too stuck to planned routine where we just need to chuck him in the middle when we need him not just stick to the plan.

I am proud of our year and our effort... The two best teams probably played in the prelim last week in adelaide if we are to be honest with ourselves... Id say third best side this season behind richmond port. Proud of our boys and the effort all year.

I think we were second best. But it doesn't matter. We made it. It was exciting.
The start of the second half I haven't felt that nervous watching us for many years.
Was good to feel that again.
