I would get the player from the relevant year, ie. if it is a 2012 guernsey then get Horlin-Smith to sign it.

Agree, that should be the preference. But it couldn't hurt to get both (and even Bruce Nankervis, if you can manage it).

What's with the gold logo not being sublimated on the long sleeve jerseys, a 2011 jersey with a quick fix? little bit disappointed.

What does it have? A felt premiers logo applied over the top, or just the regular AFL logo? There's still a few up for auction and if they don't have the gold logo, I won't bother bidding on them. Though I guess something to remember with every ISC guernsey we've had is that they're all collectables, if you're into that sort of thing (they either have the gold logo, or they are from a premiership year).

Really? Is this the latest batch from AFL Auctions?

How was the gold logo attached?

Yeah just got it this morning. Maybe it's different for some players, if they actually wore it. Not sure. I got the Tomahawk's jersey.

Here is a photo, it's just like the numbers you get from the cats shop on the jumpers.

Wow, I was going to buy one of those long sleeves but sort of glad I didn't now.

Yep and this wasn't cheap, overpaid anyway. I just have others of his, with premiers logos, so wanted to add to the collection. Would be nice if they stated it, but i guess it's still 'unique'.

Just put this up on ebay if anyone is interested;

So when I got this back in 09 I originally thought it would look great framed with some Ablett and Farmer gear.. I'm not sure if I can bring myself to do this to Travy though.. What do you guys reckon..?

Toough call.
Personally i would suggest Ablett Snr.

Perfect piece for all three, I reckon. Since it's unmistakably Varcoe's guernsey and that he was a premiership player that year, I don't think it would look that great framing it up with just Ablett Sr or Polly stuff. But, considering the history behind the guernsey, if you could somehow design something that represented all three players, it would look sensational.

I guess the only problem is that Trav probably isn't (and probably won't ever be) in the same ranks as the other 2 blokes. Although he has more won flags than both...

Of course. But since it's obviously Varcoe's guernsey (rather than a more generic-looking version), I thought it was a good idea to recognise all three in the same piece. It's just my opinion, but I think if you took that guernsey and put it in a frame with only Polly and/or Ablett stuff and ignored Varcoe, it would be weird.

If Varcoe could go on and win the Brownlow this year it would make it an easier decision lol.. Might just leave it for now.. Or maybe just sell my house and buy a match worn Ablett guernsey lol

Was wondering if someone could help me out given you won it last year and both use ISC.
Two questions:

1. With the gold AFL logo for the reigning premiers, is that only printed on home guernseys and are limited edition (i.e. they only produce 100 or something), or are they used for all guernseys produced in 2012 and are easy to get a hold of? I have a home guernsey puma but I really like the away ones, however I want the gold premiers logo on the away but I don't think I've seen that before. So just wondering if someone could give me the info on that.

2. In terms of ISC sizing I've heard to go a size up, I'm a female size 8 and have been recommended a M, would that sound about right?

Thanks in advance.

It's up to the club I believe whether they produce the gold logo guernsey in mass numbers or not. We didn't this year, we only printed a limited number of them available exclusively through the club (and they were $40 more than a regular H&A guernsey).

ISC sizing is extremely small and the guernseys don't stretch much. Size M is about the equivalent of a size 8 I'd say. A friend of mine wears size M in most brands, he's a completely average weight, yet he wears 2XL in an ISC guernsey as they're so small!

Was the gold on the away strip for you guys?
Could you compare ISC to Puma in terms of sizing? Puma was the last swans guernsey I bought.

Thank you :)

Pretty sure they only ever sold the Premiership logo guernseys in the home colours ($150 and they were pretty prominently advertised). They were also player issue, in the cut, with regards to size (as mentioned by fpm84 above, they're designed to be tight, I'd say they'd be in the ballpark of two sizes smaller than the standard replica guernseys).

If you really want a clash guernsey with the gold logo, your best bet would be to get one of the player issue or match worn ones, when they come up on the auctions website. Having said that, I've been hanging out for one of our 2011/12 PI clash guernseys and check the auctions site regularly and have never seen even the 2011 ones come up.
