I hate to say it but this is the way to build a list. Take a first rounder for a guy like Bergman and sign a guy who plays the same role like redman for nothing. Georgiades and himmelburg would be a similar move. It would mean more salary cap in both cases though. If he leaves I'm more interested in getting Redman in as FA, rather than worrying about if we're getting pick 15 or 20.
He looks the same, plays a similar role and is in line for All Aus. At the moment its basically between Essendon and the Crows.
In the worse case scenario Miles decides to head home, on current form & trajectory what would be a fair return?
Prepare to be disappointed. I don't think wingmen provide value at the trade table. As much as i'd want a top 12 pick, it would more likely be somewhere around the 20-25 mark.
And young too! I would think fair value has the word teen in it. But I hope it doesn't come to that.I think the statement is true, wingman don’t get value at the trade table, but I think that’s more outside wings rather than Bergman, who’s shown elite traits as a halfback and has the size physicality and skills to play on ball.

Pick 20-25!!!! I would melt!!!!Prepare to be disappointed. I don't think wingmen provide value at the trade table. As much as i'd want a top 12 pick, it would more likely be somewhere around the 20-25 mark.

Didn’t Fremantle receive pick 2 from the Suns for Lachie Weller? Granted, we are talking about the Surfers Paradise FC, but surely Miles would have more value then a pick in the mid to late teens?
I see him as a genuine bonafide utility who still has enormous upside. I think people are severely underestimating his draft capital & wouldn’t be surprised if we got an early first rounder if he does decide to leave.
No way are we getting that for Bergman. We'll be lucky to get a 1st rounder. We will need him to select a trade to a top team if we are any chance, someone that has a late first they are happy to part with.Top 6 pick minimum for miles.
But we need to keep him

Two mids in the top 5 under 24. Amazing when you think Houston is 26, JHF isn't here yet but if he stays injury-free he should be there soon, and on top of that we have a Brownlow medalist and the AFL games record holder in the mix.
Surprised Chad Warner isn’t in that list. Not sure if this belongs here, but I didn't want to bump both the Butters AND Rozee threads:

Are these just on this year's stats or something. Just not quite understanding how Rozee is not topping that list. I mean it is hard to order the rest of the group, but Rozee is one of the elite of the entire competition, let alone this group. Not sure if this belongs here, but I didn't want to bump both the Butters AND Rozee threads:

I'm not sure but from memory I think it uses this year and then with a discounted part of last year. Are these just on this year's stats or something.
