Glad we're playing second for once. Leicester clearly don't mind matching a challenge, so will they set one?
What are you talking about? We've done that all season. It's only the last 2 matchday's we've played behind Spurs.

That's such an odd comment.

The last 10 games are very different to the first 28. MW 28 you drew to Brom, before we lost to West Ham.

Big question is whether Leicester can now do it when people are telling them they'd be letting it slip if they don't. That started this week, as far as I can interpret from the tabloids.

If we drop points they'll be very different to the first 28.

I honestly doubt the tabloids make any difference to us now. All season we've been told we'd fall away and all season the players/manager has ignored them. The next 8 games really shouldn't be any different.

Premier League match days, it's been a while! Games in hand are great, but only if you make them count. It's time to start converting them into points. We had a pretty easy time of it against Southampton earlier in the season, but I think it's safe to say that they're unlikely to roll over like that again. Fortunately for the most part we're fully fit and have a pretty settled team at the moment (*touch wood*). Can & Firmino have really stepped up over the last few months and the return of Coutinho, Sturridge and (dare I say it) even Lovren to the side has certainly helped us a lot.

From our perspective an ideal scenario in the other matches would be a United win over City, giving us the opportunity to close the gap to both of them if we win those games in hand.

Otamendi and Kompany both out (the latter for a month apparently), Aguero & Silva both nowhere near 100%, and of course the question of whether or not the players can maintain focus and a winning mentality for their dead manager walking. With West Ham, Man United & Liverpool all breathing down their neck - the final few months of the season will be a big test for City.

Noted and appreciated, I really don't disagree that the belief hasn't been there. Now, however, you have people like SAF saying you should win it with three to spare; and the tabloids are building the fairytale as something that will happen. You also notice the crowd gets a bit more restless, ala Monday night, which means everyone and everything needs to pull together. I'd rather be two down, but I don't see five down as an unassailable lead against a side who hasn't ever been involved in a race at the top until this year (though ours have been restricted to top 4 historically). Having said that, you've surprised all season, you have more backbone than United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool put together, who says you won't run away with it?

Oh it's certainly possible, there's a big part of me still that says there's no way we win this.

I just don't think that the media would suddenly influence us now when we've been so effective at blocking it out all season.

You'll probably laugh at this but I think our championship winning season will hold us in good stead for the run in. It's obviously not the same league but the majority of the squad have title winning experience in recent times. Here's hoping it helps (for my sake more than yours ha).

Honestly, this is going to be the biggest derby in probably decades for us. Some commentators are saying it will be the most pivot - or at least potentially the most high stakes in terms of finances.

The scum have made a good record of changing their manager just before the derby (Di Canio, Poyet, Advocaat and Fat Sam) to get the win - I think we've cottoned onto their strategy, hopefully we can end the hoodoo and get the elusive win.

Certainly, going to be a massive 6 point result for both teams. The winner gets a lot of confidence, the loser takes a bitter pill going into the international break.

Huge match. If Rafa gets us the win, he almost becomes a club legend of sorts on the basis of one match - especially since we're staring down the prospect of going 7 matches with a loss in this fixture.

As a subplot, Rafa and Fat Sam aren't exactly mates either....

Not sure I'm that optimistic but I hope you're right jd! Would be just about the sweetest thing to win the derby and potentially consign the unwashed to relegation.

I look forward to listening to the poddy! ;)

Does anyone think Leicester winning the prem will damage its brand globally?

Quite the opposite.

Plastics worldwide won't know what to do though. Do they jump on Leicester or stay off? And if they stay off and Leicester keep doing well and their current club stays shit, does that mean they're no longer plastic? :p

Was having a think about that the other day - maybe one for Fryer Tuck or Jatz to answer. Have you gents noticed a surge in people following the club on social media this season?

Compare it to Mercedes dominating Formula One where it's boring as hell.

There's no guaranteed wins in the Premier League these days, well except for Aston Villa I suppose.

The league in its best shape it's ever been in I'd argue.
