Compare it to Mercedes dominating Formula One where it's boring as hell.

There's no guaranteed wins in the Premier League these days, well except for Aston Villa I suppose.

The league in its best shape it's ever been in I'd argue.
For excitement yes. But for quality of teams or players not really.

Would there be an EPL club in the top 5 in the world? Probably not. Would there be an EPL player in the top 5-10 in the world? Ozil and Aguero maybe top 10 but definitely not top 5

Top 10 would even be pushing it wouldnt it.

Messi
Suarez
Ronaldo
Neymar
Lewandowski
Muller
Neuer
Bale
Ribery

That's 9 just off the top of my head.

Yeah exactly.

There's no league that rivals it for entertainment value every week. But pure quality no way.

Ribery a top 10 player still?
Ribery just came to mind, I guess he has gone backwards.
I'd have Ozil, Aguero and Sanchez over Bale and Ribery.
I'd still take Bale over Ozil and Sanchez. Maybe not Aguero.

Either way the PL is the best league but it doesnt have the best quality individuals but I think it has the most talent, it bats deep.

Say you take the bottom 10 teams from each of the top French, Spanish, German and Italian leagues. Id back the bottom 10 sides in England to get results.

Yeah for sure. Swansea would go close to playing in Europe in a lot of those leagues

I'd have Zlatan and Ozil in there instead of Ribery and Bale plus one of PEA, Aguero or Griezmann to round out the top 10. In terms of top end quality and talent, the PL is behind La Liga but it easily has better depth. The bottom half Premier League teams would compete for Europe spots in La Liga and Ligye 1 and would account for most of the bottom half Serie A teams (not so much the Bundesliga though).

negligence from the big clubs has made the league more closer this season.

Last fixtures before an international break too. So every team will be desperate for wins and momentum. Particularly those fighting for European places and the title and of course against relegation.

The Tyne-Wear derby is huge! If either lose they have to sit on that result for a couple of weeks.
