the 3 tonight should get him the Brownlow

UNLESS

a Carlton player gets 3 votes in a 10 goal pumping

Or a Brisbane player gets 3 votes in a 14 possession turd burger game

You’d think it wouldn’t happen. But it already has, so you can’t trust the three green gremlins

He’s already experienced all the team success stuff
Yeah I mean, what's he meant to do?

Pull the pin with 6 weeks to go because his team's not going to make finals?

Collingwood as a club play to the last minute of the last game of every year - that's why they've won more games than any other team in the history of the competition.

We expect every one of our players to do the same.

Only Heeney can overtake him in the Coaches Award now...
If he does, is Daicos still the Goat?

If Nick Daicos polls 31 votes in the Brownlow he will be averaging 1 vote per game. He will join Haydn Bunton as the only player to have played over 50 games to be averaging 1 Brownlow vote per game. The kid is getting into rare air.

He will be at least top 5 as a midfielder over the last 25 years. Will be among Dangerfield, Ablett, Judd and Martin as the best modern day midfielder imo. It would take a career ending injury to change this.

Brownlow votes aren't a great metric to go by. What if you're playing alongside three top 20 players in the comp and all are sharing votes. Same goes for coaches votes. Further to that, not all 3 vote games are equal. So without benchmarking the quality of games you can't use votes as a guide.

It's possible to get 1 vote for a 40 and 2 game, and 3 votes for a 30 and 0 game.

Unless you're bnechmarking from the BEST performance in a game you can't use votes.

Also voted by the umps and they're a bunch of muppets. And they're corrupt, case in point that umpire last year telling his mates who to put money on.

Yeah, obviously that guy and his mates had discussions about who they voted for.

OK.

Let's disregard all the votes from all the awards in 2024.

Based on how Daicos has actually performed across the full season, who would you rank ahead of him?

Nick is a rare breed. Doesn't help his antagonists sore feelings with games like last night where there is limited pressure from oppo.
