Can’t believe we play the 4 sides lodged between 9-12 and one pathetic excuse of what was once a respectable side. 13 wins straight heading into another minor premiership

As i predicted a few rounds ago ESS doing the usual finish the season strong to trick people into thinking next year they will be good.

And just like every year the media will fall for it.

We should be praying for a final against Collingwood. Every year there is a team that is flattered by their record because they win a bunch of close games. It has been us a couple of years.

This year it is Collingwood. They are frauds.

GCS have too many of these games. With the Tigers/Saints losing this was their chance to catch up to the pack... and they've blown the chance.

Completely ruined all their good work from last week, which now looks like yet another false dawn. This is the kind of effort that would see them raked over the coals all week by the media if they were a Victorian side.

I personally didn't rate them until about three weeks ago. These last few wins have been more impressive than winning by 10+ goals. It absolutely develops the younger players as it's similar to what they will face in the finals. Great resolve.
Beating crap teams by small margins just proves that they are marginally better than crap.

Costly loss. 13-9 looks to be the minimum needed for finals. This leaves them with no leeway and while they have the Hawks, North and Eagles. Counter-balanced by Brisbane and us still to come. Winning today was non-negotiable to play finals IMO.

Still don't really rate Dew as a coach and think if they had even 10% chance of getting Clarkson they should have gone hard at it.

Commentators have taken it hook line and sinker, talking up the youf, how they are a team to watch the next 1/2/3 years.

They might finish 8th next year, but they just won't be better than that with these players and this coach.

Yep 8th is now between Rich, Dogs, and Saints. Port and GCS are done

Right now he is probably thinking damn am i lucky to still be coaching Port next year.
I think car salesman Ken is a very ordinary coach - and most of their supporters are praying for a new coach and understandably so

I havent been a rap for Port Adelaide for a fair while - they have been brittle like us in the finals etc

Again today i thought they were slightly dissappointing - however 2-3 weeks back - i watched them against Frem - they powererd home in the last qtr - from 6 goals back - missed a couple of shots to get it under a goal - if converted - i think they would have won

I think a much better coach has got something to work with - that game - Motlop came on as their sub at 3qtr time - he is clearly overweight - gave them nothing . Hinkley has continually gifted that bloke games forever - just pathetic - worse than Scott continually picking Dallhouse

Craig McCrae has been very impressive at Coll - doesnt talk just for the sake of talking - if Port got a smart coach i think they could rocket up the ladder a bit

as to Clarkson, might want to listen to what J. Lewis recently said. Clarkson will want near dictatorial control wherever he goes. I think some clubs might be leery of such a situation. A bit like giving a massive long term contract to a breakout player. Once signed nearly out of their control until it ends, and anything can happen. Not best practices you'd think.
