It's interesting times on the coaching front, with Tassie needing a senior coach in 2026. Scotty has been considered a fit for Tassie, but John Longmire would have to be in the mix now. Ken Hinkley will also be without a club in 2026 unless Port wins the flag next year (you can laugh).

If any of our players ever pull shit like this i'd expect us as a collective to get a "call to action" with the club and push for the club to discipline them.

Repulsive little wankstain who thinks he's a star already.

The amount of folk on Tw defending Watson is a joke - "he's only 19" is a BS excuse & doesn't cut it when you opt to nominate for the AFL draft and try to make a career in that industry

I know 19yr olds aren't exactly the smartest all the time, but surely there's a level of training & learning undertaken when they're drafted by clubs to know what's suitable & what's not

That's it, burn the club down. It's overdue

I'm lighting the torches as we speak....

That's the very definition of "taking the piss"

It's long been known that a Crouch wouldn't play next year, the fact that St Kilda have played the system as they have, I'd love the AFL to turn around and tell then nope to an open list spot - they can keep Crouch for the season or play with the list one short
Crouch now officially retired.

Common sense, Humility and Respect 3 things that less and less people have as we move forward in time.. Mostly in younger people but even older people are being affected.

I would point at the next president of the US and say young people have little case to answer in comparison to that
Yep.

In the interactions I have with 16-20 year olds these days they are very respectful, humble and focussed. In my opinion they have got their shit together way more than any generation before them.

Now that could just be the small sample of young adults that I have had interactions with, but that is my experience.

In every generation (some) old people have been saying that about young people as far as records allow us to check. Young people don’t raise themselves, are shaped by a society built and run by the generations that came before them.

I agree. But the advent over the last 20odd years of social media / influencers and kids on screens has changed things a little.

Fortunately as pointed out earlier, most kidds are great to be with. Those under the influence not always so.

I think very few people don't mean well, what I think has changed is that there is a crazy level of diversity in the foundation of people's beliefs, what social media has done, as in the the algorithmically driven version (not the time based version we are currently on) has done is segmented people (in the marketing kind of way) into smaller group then ever possible and allows messaging to targeted extremely precisely, showing different parts of an event to different people (with not all of it necessarily being in good faith).

It'll take a while for us as a whole to adjust, we as humans are wired to take a lot of what we see at face value, be more inclined to believe new information that conform to what we already believe, and feel discomfort in things that don't. We're not used to information being spread this way. It passes through our filters so easily. No amount of media literacy will immunise against it, information comes to us at a such a pace that it leaves little time to execute what little skills we have.

Im going to presume you were in a op shop.
And why is it Op shops are putting ridiculous prices on things.

Not me or my photo - saw it on Twitter and had a laugh

It also looks like an older photo & from an actual retail store like Sanity or JB - the DVDs are shrink wrapped which suggests they're brand new, but maybe in the discount section
