Credit to Jonts from the Port board for the pics.

This was at Port’s AGM, i think they’re trying to give themselves a pat on the back cause they haven’t finished 12th in the last decade and Geelong have….not taking into account that was a year after the Cats won 16 in a row and a Premiership by 81 points not losing a single game in Finals with the oldest list ever? Lol

Koch and Co are delulu, while that group is in charge they’ll never succeed 😂

They're right that they've been competitive. That's a fair point. Sine Ken took over, they've consistently been thereabouts and have refreshed the list multiple times so they could go again.

The thing is, they're there comparing themselves to Geelong, Sydney and Brisbane. What's the difference? They have not made a grand final let alone won a flag. They're like what we were from 2013-2019, frequently finishing top 4 and putting themselves in good positions to ultimately never convert. But as was often said in defence of Scott, it's hard to even get to the point of being competitive season and season again so whether another coach would do better than Hinkley and the criticism has been warranted is also debatable.

While I've heard of some supporters endorse a father son eugenics breeding program before, I've never seen someone advocate for a cloning program.
Only because the conditions of cloning can't recreate the circumstances that produced the individual. Try cloning Hitler in our generation and 99% chance you just get a whiny emo kid

Why do people so hyper fixated on Hitler when the topic of cloning is brought up, there are so many other people to consider before him. Also if nurture is more important, he isn't any more likely to be emo then the average population.

I also think that that people also lack the vision to see it through to the optimal conclusion, it's not like we're only cloning him once. Imagine if we had a school of 800 Max Holmes, with 100 reaching adulthood every year, we could pick the 6 to 7 best Holmes each to add to our squad. We could even station dozens of Holmes outside of the primary program, at ordinary schools, in differing socio-economic statuses to see if we achieve superior results.

I just wanted to call him a whiny nerd tbh

What do you do with the excess Max Holmes though? I feel like this is a social problem waiting to happen. We fill out North Melbourne's list and push their players into unemployment

We find clubs in rural Australia who are struggling for numbers and release them into their care, on the condition that they don't return, alternatively the Navy is struggling in recruiting, they're not going to say no to some extra people power.

Chad Warner is far too high on that list.
If you want a finisher and someone who functions perfectly with a couple of superstars beside, he's your man.

If you want a player who can put a team on their shoulders and drag you along with him, Newcombe & Butters are better players.
I'd probably take Green over Warner too.
