Is this just one of those bored school kid fantasy trade suggestions that gets made when they don’t want to do their homework?

Hope so. The Gpig is getting a run with the Pies this week, (reluctantly good at VFL), just what we need - him showing off his wares all over the MCG.

If ESS contract isn't enough to get band 1 they will 100% match and force a trade IMO

I have said it before ... it makes no sense to only offer 600 ish ..when they have the cap room to add extra dollars and get him for no trade cost. They could always do a bit of a Daniher contortion if they wanted to.

Si If Ess want him..and they feel its possible to get him for zero picks they will offer band1 money. What that does if Parish wants out...

Considering how injury prone he has been i would if i was another teams list manager not pay anything near band 1 compo.

In truth if defenders weren't all the rage right now Parish would be a higher chance of getting band 1 then him.

If I was him, I'd choose Sydney. Much better club, much better prospect of success, and not as much media spotlight being out of the big city.

If he goes to Essendon and they have another sub par year, then hoo boy, will he cop it.

I say this as someone who still thinks Parish re-signs, and have been 99% on this all year.

It all depends on what he wants.

Stay in Vic? well Ess are a good shout but i would be looking elsewhere until Ess can prove to be decent for a few years

Success? In that case Sydney are a very good shout Port as well with its list maybe even the Crows who are on the up and usually have a good culture (apart from post 2017 to 2020ish)

Does Leon want to watch Alberton 🔥🔥🔥

"I would have signed him by now, get it done. They have to get it done ASAP - I don't know what the hold up is. He's a very good coach, and he's showed that this year."

- Leon Cameron on Ken Hinkley

How up and about are Hawthorn fans at the moment? Outside of the 3 gimmes against North and West Coast they're 3 wins and 14 losses. The way they're going you'd think they were sitting top 4.
At least they are finding enjoyment in their year , a few of our own could learn from that

I reckon par for them this year was 5 wins and they have 6 including one against the best side in the league right now. They're not a spoon contender and at this rate won't be. I think they're within their rights to breathe a sigh of relief and hold some hope that the rebuild is going to rapidly precipitate.

If you’re in their position and don’t have hope you’ve got nothing.

Meanwhile, if you’re in our position you’re not fair dinkum unless you wish it’s false hope. 😁

I hate the clickbait way that injuries towards the end of the season are reported. Someone will get injured and the media will run with a headline like this:

"BREAKING NEWS: DARCY MOORE TO MISS THE REST OF THE HOME AND AWAY SEASON :eekv1:"

....which sounds like a massive story, until you reflect on the framing of it for literally half a second and remember that there's only two matches remaining in the home and away season, which means his absence is extremely short-term and won't affect their finals charge at all. :rolleyesv1:
