What a dud that Stephens was.
I can't recall a worse high end draft selection that him. Not once did he show signs of star potential.
Had an excellent physique and that was about all.

Obviously they were hoping he may be able to play through the injury if required during the finals series, but got to wonder if going on for surgery at the time may have been a better option considering Day didn't look close to returning

No games in 21 due to a pectoral injury

Back issues derailed his 2023 season

Played 2 early season games in the VFL this year before a hamstring injury and then other injury issues again halted his season

For a player who has had more birthdays then games played - turned 29 in June & just the 28 games under his belt, with the injury history he has, I don't see any team taking him on

Even when looking at back up options, you want to trust they can at least get on the park

Yeah not many tall options .. Would still very much consider a small instead but i can sorta understand him playing looking at that

Sydney's backline isn't overly tall. Port would be better going with more of a mosquito-fleet forward line.

They're absolutely screaming about how it's a CFL/Hocking/Geelong conspiracy that Sydney play the prelim on Friday and us on Saturday: "The Cats get an extra day's break before the prelim!"

Someone go tell them that Sydney finished top so they get the chance for an extra day's break before the Grand Final
