What happens if there is some question on who touched it last? Is it reviewed?

The way the AFLW (and I assume the SANFL) interpret this isn't last touch, but last disposal. So a kick up the line that gets punched OOB is still a throw-in, but if that kick just bounces out without anyone getting a touch on it, it's a free kick the other way.

Umpires call, and to clarify it's only called for a disposal. If it's fumbled OOB it's a throw in. Kicked or handpassed without being touched it's a free against. It's pretty self governing in the SANFL because the outcome is almost always obvious. The players see it happening and start setting up for the call before the whistle even goes.

That is why it should apply only between the arcs, as a legitimate attack is the lead into a pocket or flank by Cameron or Stengle, and you don’t want to punish an off pass that bounces over the line without reaching them.
I think that's probably too many rules. Just leave it as the easiest version to adjudicate. If you miss the shot then maybe kick better next time

The rule is so uncontroversial no one even thinks about it let alone asks for a review
I agree. Sorry if my sarcasm wasn't obvious enough earlier. I find all the review processes now in place across every sport just about equally objectionable.

'On-field official's call' (good, bad, or indifferent) and move on is totally fine with me.

It was all very predictable that plenty would be winging about sub after they reinstated it. It was hated last time… then brought back for concussion.. Its now a the numbers creep which I hate but Concussion has changed the game. May as well just have the emg as subs. as the concussion demands now are far more officious and non use will be scrutinised..
As many have said, you just have five on the Bench, so if there's a concussion, you still have four players to rotate. It also takes the pressure off the doctors to confirm or clear a concussion in 20 minutes. They can take their time. The AFL thinks the sub-rule adds intrigue to a game; that's why they're keeping it. But everyone hates it, including the fans. They are so out of touch with reality.

If you looked up untenable in the dictionary there was a picture of Gary Pert

1ST of 13 Group 3 Geelong Cup 2400 metres " Smashed the Geel Cup field in one of the most dominant displays on a Corio Bay sporting field since Gary Ablett Snr booted 12 against Richmond at KP in 1993 " - ha - ha-ha

I was thinking that this must have been my first game of footy as a little kid but a year out. I remember going to KP and we were standing in the forward pocket on the old cement terraces. Ablett Senior fell over the fence #right in front of me. After the game we went to the Jam Factory and watched Cool Runnings. That was released in 1994 here. GAS only kicked 8 against Richmond that day, what a let down.
