Just home. B2B jr fell asleep on the tram. Tiring work being a lucky charm for so long.

Great win. Should have been by plenty more, but geez it's a great feeling when you know they can't find the goals to win. Felt we had them under control long before red time in the last. Actually, the first quarter was enough to know that the Dogs were shaken by our intensity and the stats in their favour mean jackshit because of the pressure they were under, both real and perceived.

Kudos to the defence. Thommo welcome back...when he started taking his grabs it felt like he remembered how good he could actually be. Taz....AA form....say no more. LMac, like others have said, breakout game. JMac, is becoming a topliner. Wright great courage and huge contests in the last. Ats impressive too, not too much run, but solid defence. And must have been the first time Spud was ever given a 50, didn't know what to do.

As to the others, just a quick shoutout to Wellsy. The first quarter was the difference in the end, and he owned it.
Waite. Too old. Too erratic. Should have kicked 6. ;)
Spitta. Skipper getting back to his best.
Cunners and JZ had some important moments.
Dish. Great game. Just that goal kicking.......

Only kicked 9 goals....and romped it in.

6 and zip.....will be 9 and zip in the flash of an eye. Join in the chorus.

Obviously our defensive pressure was huge all night, but i was particularly impressed with the defense from our forwards. Leading in i worried about fast rebounds to their much small defenders. The 3 big units work hard and theres no breaking their tackles. For mine this has a lot to do with the possession count, our forwards/ mids held them up forcing them to chip around going nowhere, apart from that they appear to use a lot of quick hands to clear congestion.

Many people seem very critical of the skill level of both teams on the mainboard however this was as hard at it for 4 quarters that ive seen from North in a long long time. Cant believe we never let the free flowing fast doggies get of the lead once. Very impressive.

Yes many face palm moments, but that happens with such huge pressure which soon becomes perceived pressure.

I'm not sure what to make of this...we're 6 - 0 and iI still feel we have so much more to offer. It's wonderful.

The resolve and hardness of mature players feels Swans like to me, and like them when they click they destroy teams. Its made them very hard to beat for a long time. No doubt we can get much better, but we're yet to show we can bring that heat for the entire year. So far so good.

Dont forget our mids didn't get any good service from Goldstein as well as normal tonight.......he was absolutely mauled tonight. Id be surprised if there weren't any questions coming out from Arden st this week.
No way is he jumping like his normal self - hasn't been for three weeks. Very easy to see from level 1 at the ground. Concerning. However, I wouldn't say he was mauled - he broke even and just couldn't quite clunk about 5 marks.

Honestly I was confident at half time we would win. This is the first game this year that I haven't been nervous at that point.

Absolutely strangled them. Wasn't the game I expected to see, but my goodness it was effective. Took away any run, any confidence, and matched the hardness round the ball.

Heard after the game on radio that the Dogs won inside 50s, possessions, everything that would normally point to a win, but (despite the wishful commentary) were never in the game at all. They aren't much chop, really, but it was great to see them beaten so well in such a tough, physical contest. Some star turns - Wells in the first, Waite, Thompson, Petrie in the last - but what a cracking team effort, especially being down one from so early.

Crowd was immense - great voice and passion.

My exact reading of that game.

Still playing some unflattering football, but putting away sides in a mature manner. I think Brad wanted the game to play out this way too, I think we'll slowly revert back to this style closer to the end of the season.

Full credit to Brad and the leadership group, has coached very well this season.

I had a solid crack after the GoDees game, but happy to be sitting here eating some humble pie now.

Tends to happen when your opponent is just aiming knees at you all night.

Turner was injured and missed 95% of the game.
Wright was injured early and was getting treatment for almost a quarter.
Ziebell and Cunnington were getting treatment as well early in the 4th.

We were at least a player short for most of the game, and at times were down in one player on the bench, yet at the end of the 4th quarter we looked the stronger, more composed outfit. It's a great sign that we can run out a game better than our opponents, even after some duress.

Scrappy game, but **** me our pressure was immense. Gave them no time and space and it was too hot in the kitchen for the poor old Woofers.

BTW, were is the flog that was saying our defense was shite and would be exposed. Must be embarrassing for him the worst defensive team in the league kept his flea blown mutts to 45 points.
