Good hit out for the boys as hoped. Not concerned at all with Waite's mistimed spoil, nor Dish's iced leg.

All good afaic. Building nicely for the Crows game.

Very happy with the depth we're building, particularly up front, in a league where some sides are crying out for goal kickers.

Well done by the boys, who were ably led by Spitta, Jack and Cunners in the guts.

Lol, and it basically reads "North were good and won the game, but its only a practice match so that means **** all"

I think the article was a good sign, years ago people used to rave about us when we beat anyone half decent, now the expectation is for us to beat good sides. I am going to take it as a compliment that there is more respect for us than there used to be.

You're being generous. Ralph is a buffoon.

Solid output today North. Scrappy at times but still tenacious and the will to play out the game despite three classy midfielders missing plus another key defender out.

Brad has learned a great deal of a better understanding in how to prepare for the Hawks with a high pass mark with his tactics again. I agree that the first Q was more about the rustiness than anything else. Thought his presser was quite informative and proud.

Just a matter of KILLER INSTINCT mentality rather than pool cue back in the rack bad habits being the difference to adding more wins and the rotation policy being the key factors to a successful campaign.

How does this relate to today's game? We didn't hit the lead until there was three minutes to go. Hardly a chance for us to put the 'cue in the rack'.

I'm not sure if it's been commented on already, but the time on ground statistics were pretty unusual today. Only 1 player spent more time on ground than 81% (Hunter; 87%). That's a very even spread of time across the group, and not something you see too often.

Which goes to reinforce the fact it was a practice game. Players' TOG managed like that, and all players at that, shows we're looking to get miles into the legs without overstretching anyone. A successful exercise I'd say.

That, and the fact there were three extra on the bench and two subs instead of one.

i was up until about 1am today and watch about 30 so minutes of the game. wore my home jumper (wearing it while i write this).
timmy
ps did the blue lighten a little a little since 2006 (the home jumper i have) or was it the PAL (what i think it was broadcast in) to NTSC conversion (since you all use PAL and we here in the USA use NTSC).
