Fair enough, but he only averages .5 more goals a game than Selwood. On the flip side, he averages two less possessions of which an additional two are ineffective, 10% less efficient disposal, and two less tackles. Each to their own, I guess.

I'm perplexed with this trade. How did we go from Richmond wanting Caddy as part of a trade deal with Deledio to not getting Deledio and trading Caddy to Richmond anyway? All for quite significant unders.

I would've liked us to get more for Caddy, but seriously, this is not the end of the world. Some on here seem to be radically overrating the young man.

I can only assume they think Menengola is a better/similar option than Caddy, plus the salary cap issue mentioned earlier where they expected Motlop to go, but since he didn't someone else had to go.

So you reckon he should have gotten a game over Selwood because Caddy got there first? I reckon he should have just learned to play better and pushed Selwood out in a role he could have owned.

This. As an old fart I get more confused every trade period but this one is the biggest WTF of all time. Caddy for **** all when at least we could have got Lids. We have lost the plot.

I suspect it was due to the Aaron Black trade, as I think he may be on big money, and losing Vardy and Kersten meant we needed another Key Forward. Only explanation as to why they traded Caddy to free cap space. Just guessing.
