Ice cold form? Lol.
We are 3 wins from the last 4, including one of those wins against the very team we are playing at the same venue. A game in which we won by 51 points, but was absolutely over by half time and we put the cue in the rack.

When I say ice cold I'm talking in the context of a semi final. Obviously our form hasn't been West Coast/North Melbourne tier bad but it's fair to say we've been mediocre at best since the mid season bye (prior to which we had won 11 games in a row and played a mixture of excellent and gritty football).

Since the bye I would assess our form as follows:

Good - SUNS, GWS
Average - Essendon, Collingwood, Geelong, Fremantle, Richmond
Poor - Carlton, Adelaide, Brisbane

So 3 poor games, 5 average games and only 2 good games. 5 wins, 5 losses, percentage I'm guessing somewhere in the 80s. It's not the form line of a team that is about to charge into a preliminary final.

The obvious wildcard in the above is that 1 of those 2 good performances did come against this weekend's opponent at this weekend's venue. What that counts for I'm not sure.

Surely McKenzie can’t play. I know we all admire him for punching above his size. But he has been poor for last 15 months. Part of the problem is we always rush him back into the team to quick after injuries. He has not moved freely for a long time. Still can’t believe we have already signed him up for next season. I acknowledge that we have no other KPD stepping up, but he will be exploited big time Saturday night.

Why wouldn't he be signed up for next season? He's our 2nd best key back.

We were good against Geelong, very young team that day.

I thought we were better than average against Collingwood. They had to kick freak goals, had some dodgy calls and take every chance to win.
