Ouch. Mitch Owens is in a world of hurt.

accidental, but haven’t seen someone that knocked out in a long time.

You'd be fuming as a Blues fan that you can have McKay and Curnow and be this ineffective going forward.
True. Today especially.
But trying to frame this without being negative we've also had highly-promoted but low-scoring talls in the forward line quite a lot in recent years now, so it's not a Carlton thing. If the mids don't goal and the small forwards don't goal McKay and Curnow are stuck with being saviours. And most times that doesn't work out.

How's future All Australian Dougal Howard going?

Melbourne star Clayton Oliver is set to be sidelined with a hamstring injury that could have significant ramifications for the club’s top-four hopes and Brownlow Medal betting.
Oliver has missed just a single game in the past six seasons with a broken thumb but pulled up sore after a third-quarter incident kicking the ball in the contest against Port Adelaide.
The Demons on Sunday said Oliver’s scans would be assessed over the next 24 hours with the club expecting a result on late Monday.
But there are fears he could be sidelined for up to a month given the extent of the damage.

As bad as we (Eagles) are at the moment I reckon I'd be more frustrated as a Saints fan.

They always tease

I'd be happy to be a Weagles supporter from a football standpoint.

As usual you blokes will drop down and grab Harley Reid and some other freak that everyone else underrates for some reason, and then will bob back up in 3 or 4 years with a new coach and a 28 year old Oscar Allen and win another flag, while the rest of us are holding our dicks celebrating our semi final appearances and win/loss records.

Its the West Coast way and has been since inception.

Whoever designed that GWS indigenous guernsey should never be allowed to design another one. The idea of putting white numbers on a predominantly white guernsey is a 0/10. Not sure how GWS fans at the game are going picking the numbers up it is not that easy on TV. Surely ochre or black numbers on a predominantly white guernsey was the way to go? Ochre or black colours even match the GWS club colours.

This is so gross, that is gets mentioned in a article about a player injury.

It's so disgustingly embedded in the sporting culture.

Here's hoping but it feels different this time.

We are way worse than our 2001, 2010 dark days.

Never know I guess.
