Ditts’ Explosive Mail: Is Adelaide Getting A 3rd AFL Team?
Chris Dittmar has heard from two different sources in the last week that a SANFL club is putting a bid together to get into the AFL. “At some level, people are trying to put together a bid to go to the AFL,” Ditts said.
Chris Dittmar explains on Roo, Ditts & Loz that he’s not sure if this bid comes from business people or the club itself.
“Bare in mind, if there is a Tasmanian team, there’ll be 19 teams,” Ditts said.
“So they could be—they want to be the 20th team.”
There was no national comp formed. We'll suffer forever because of how the national comp was formed.
Good bloke.
I should've waited for the edit. Apologies. There was no national comp formed.
Only a staged expansion of the VFL in response to the financial crisis being faced by Victorian clubs.
It is and forever will be an expanded VFL competition, administered out of Melbourne for the financial security of Victorian clubs and the economic and tourism interests of the Victorian Government.
Which is exactly what you said in less words. Apologies.
The few that are still there?
Nah team 20 is happening imoLol. Besides there’s barely enough sponsorship to cover 2 SA sides, there’s no way Tassie at 19 followed by an SA or WA side would be allowed. Equal numbers to the Vic sides and it may start being run as a national league. No way the Vic big club/Vic government/MCC mafia would allow that to happen.
There's probably still some big end of town Norwood types with an AFL dream. Pretty safe clickbait for old Ditts I guess.
