That No1 pick was the only thing keeping me sane in this nightmare of a season.
it will probably keep Simmo his job; but I don’t know if I’ll put that in the + or - column.
whether or not Reid ends up West I’m sure his thread will be getting a hammering in years to come with “if only” or “I told ya so”

I'm still trying to work out why crazy Bevo didn't chuck someone on Kelly to curtail his influence.

Doesn't he know how good Kelly can be when he's left to run around on his own without a tag? The bloke completely dies when you chuck a spud to clamp down on him... literally any C grade player will slow him right down, but letting him go "head to head" with one of your other midfielders is just plane idiocy.

Very bizarre. Not sure what's going on there in the brain department.

Look I'm obviously emotional but I don't think my reaction is unfair.

For the past 4 seasons this side has picked and chosen when to go. Today doesn't change that. If anything it magnifies it.

All season North have blown winnable games and the fact that we've given them Reid makes me feel sick. I think something special was brewing and while I think Curtin will be a very good player, I'm not over the moon that we'll be using such an early pick on a KPD of all positions.

Today is essentially a sugar hit because it's not as though it was the Longs and Marics doing the heavy lifting. The senior players were the stand outs which bums me out even further.

Why couldn't we have just one nice thing? Feel like a kid on Christmas who has stepped on his present and broken it.

Anyway, dislike my posts and laugh at my melts all you want. I love this club but right now I hate them but it will pass. This has been the build up of years of frustration and disappointment and I'm really ****ing gutted we won't get to watch Reid in our colours.

I feel your pain and agree with your sentiments but i have some good news for you.

We won't be picking Curtin. North will be with their band 1 compo they will get for McKay.

We can choose between the underwhelming Duursma, the inconsistent small forward in Watson or the Tassie boy that the AFL will manufacture a return home for in a few years.

Makes me feel all warm and gooey about the thumpings we've had all year.

Not sure if anyones mentioned it but yeo did his hammy.

He didn't look too concerned on the pine and didn't have a big icepack on it like usual, nor was it iced in the rooms (seen in the crippa post match interview in the rooms). So maybe just tightness/precautionary? At worst only going to miss the one game and be good for next year hopefully.

That is a VERY long bow to draw. So much would have to go under the bridge between now and then. Then even if it DOES happen, which i don't believe it would (just ask bzparkes he grew up in Tasmania, didn't you know?).... we would get heavily compensated in picks/trades with the Tasmanian team.

Really won't be the end of the world either way.
