Autopsy Positives and Negatives vs Carlton

Q1 a shocker, didn’t even turn up. Gave ourselves too much to do.

Positive signs in fighting back gee…Q4….

Don’t mind losing from down three goals at 3QT, but to completely drop the bundle undoes so much good will from the promising signs we’ve shown.

Happy with the corridor use, happy with the run on from behind, happy with how aggressive they move the footy (at times). Looks like a 17th placed side for such long stretches of the game that it’s just always going to be too much to do.

The fightback after quarter time
Hough and Bazzo silver linings
Kennedy 700

First and last quarter's
Lack of killer instinct when we had the momentum third quarter and Riolis turnover to start the 4th
Gaff and Duggan are momentum killers

Andrew Gaff, Harry Edwards and Bailey Williams offer almost nothing and the later 2 aren't going to make it, we need to move them all on in some capacity

Ryan needs an absolute rocket after going absolutely missing in action

Nic Nat is unfit and overweight and the sooner the club sits him down and tells him the truth rather then p*sssing in his pocket, the better off we will all be

Zoning needs to stop. Now. We are losing more then we are gaining from it

So frustrating. Josh starts the day on the cusp of kicking 700 and in yet another aberration, the club serves up that in the first quarter. He deserves better

Some encouraging signs and some not so.

Disappointing considering our effort in the previous 2 weeks but we are were we are, 2nd worst team in the comp.

Big spray goes to the Fat Fijian. It's not hard mate, count your calories. A fat ***** like me was able to shed weight easily and you could employ a full time dietician. Disgraceful condition.

Completely cooked themselves getting back in to it. First and fourth terms inexcusably bad.

The approach has changed but we still have these huge 2021 patches of scoreless quarters.

So much work to do on the fitness of these boys. Glimpses of a new approach will only do so much when you down tools for quarters and halves of games. Shocking way to let go of the rope at 3QT.

It’s unfair and selfish, but a negative for me was Bazzo being pretty poor and Hough going missing after quarter time.

It’s like, oh there’s some hope. Optimism!

Nah, it’s gone.

I just don’t want a 2023 where I’m watching the Gaffs, the Reddens etc. I’m sick of how stale this side is.

:(

At 31, the horse has well and truley bolted

So 2 quarters without a score, that is expansion club level stuff, the sad thing is we have a couple a youngsters in their first year, not a whole bunch of them, this is poor anyway you want to spin it, and we will get some BS 5 things we have learnt crap from the media team, and a shit message from the CEO or chairman, the only way those running the club will only change when the dollars dry up from the members and supporters.

Two competitive quarters that were very strong don’t cover two quarters or panic and complete capitulation. We are rebuilding and must cut deep. Fitness is not an option. Can’t do it move on then we will be able to differentiate between those that can’t and won’t work. Yesterdays WAFL showed it will be a few seasons.

Not the first time im saying this but gaff lead the possessions with 30....but that was one of the worst 30 possie game from gaff ive ever seen.

Id be happy to accept a 3rd round pick and pick up 300k of his salary to see the back of him now.
He’ll be listed in our best players, 100%.

Just like someone else used to be. We won a GF the year after that millstone was jettisoned. Let’s do it again haha.

The question has to be asked whether it is the coaching or, skill level of our midfield that underpins the lack of possession (and success).
Forget about individual performances in our defensive and forward lines.. this is all heavily predicated by our embarrassingly inept midfield and associated inferior possession quality
