Not a bad result guys.

I think we'll have a better tune up for finals with next week not being a dead rubber. It gives us incentive to play a full strength team as well. This will hold us in good stead for the finals push.

Darling concussed at the start was the difference. Add JK/JD and we do those blokes comfortably.

Well then.

+ Willie Rioli the GOAT
+ Vardy showed a bit at full forward
+ Cripps played terrific football
+ Max Gawn is hell fun to watch, I just wish we did a thing about it all day.
+ Yeo lifted late
+ Hutchings another ripper effort

- Darling injury - jesus I hope he’s ok.
- Gawn killed us. Three votes easily.
- Poor starts are becoming a big issue
- Too many dumb decisions late. Took on options where the kick had to be 100/100. Had them at tipping point several times and couldn’t get that final goal to get over the hump.
- Fumbles.
- Barrass played out of his skin early and then shat the bed in the fourth. Some seriously puzzling decisions and positioning choices.
- Have to win next week, faaaark would have liked the rest.
- ****ing lol at that umpiring. Outstanding effort to get Melbourne over the line, brown paper bag stuff.
- You can beat one top 8 team and make the finals in this comp

Need our forwardline back and got smashed by gawn therefore the clearances. Maggots with the reverse affirmation which is no accident. McGovern forward hurt us badly - stop doing it Simmo - and a couple of iffy team selections.

Anyone else a bit worried about Barrass? Copped a heavy knock to the shin late and looked very sore when he got back up. That sort of thing can cause fractures. Hopefully not the case

Schofield if fit can easily cover him

Weren't bad considering we were without our 2 key forwards again but bloody disappointing to lose. Melbourne hype this week from the media will be nauseating.

Didnt get to watch the game due to no FTA, but from the sounds of it all we really learned was that we need to be as close to full strength as possible to trouble other finals contenders. Thats not really a revelation.

No NicNat, no Kennedy, no Gaff, no Darling = no es bueno. However we held up pretty well and found some other avenues to goal - good to have heading into finals.

Get Darling and Kennedy back for next week and the Lions will be lucky to get within 30pts. They already have one eye on Bali if their game this week is anything to go by, and we will have everything to play for (bit like Melbourne today).
