Our last two weeks have been crap. Our entries into the 50 are absolutely diabolical.

The decision making from our midfielders is horrific. We won't win anything without figuring out how to deal with a packed forward line rather than just bombing the ball in.

Obvious negatives are that we got smashed in clearances (mainly at the stoppages) and contested possessions and also, lost the supply battle.

Was always going to happen v the Dees this - they are a very good contested side.

I dunno, im just.....zen about this whole thing. I cant believe we nearly kicked 100pts without Darling or Kennedy in the forward line. Thats massive - means we are improved when they come back in but we dont have to rely on them to get the job done.

Nothing to get worked up about for me. I was pretty consigned to our fate when NN went down. We're not going to get on top of the best midfields without he and Gaff.

Other than that we showed a lot of spirit after the poor start and Darling going down. We just seemed a touch too hesitant and not as desperate as Melbourne particularly in the clearances.

Darling going down early completely stuffed our forward structure.

It was actually a really good quality game and Melbourne deserved the win. They took all our punches and rolled with them. Good on them.

Need our forwardline back and got smashed by gawn therefore the clearances. Maggots with the reverse affirmation which is no accident. McGovern forward hurt us badly - stop doing it Simmo - and a couple of iffy team selections.

McGovern back wasn't much better, he had a bad one.
