Interesting comment on Brander. Have hard heaps of good reports but why hasn't he been given a Chance to display his skills? I think he has played once for our AFL side but cant recall how he went.

I kinda put Brander in the same boat as I do Ah Chee atm;

Obvious talent
Has all the physical tools
Has been good, but not brilliant, at WAFL level.

And that's part of the dilemma, he should be dominating at WAFL level, but he is yet to really grab a game by the scruff of the neck and take it over.

Conversely, when guys like Waterman, Petch, hell even Masten when he gets dropped......they came back and are dominant enough to earn a quick recall.

He still has plenty of time, but I really want to see him absolutely rip a few games apart for the beagles before he's recalled

Brander has had some very good outings for the Beags.

His first game against Subi this year he was super impressive and easily BOG in the wet imo.

KPF can take some time. Not all of them can come in and find their feet playing against full grown men straight away.

I am still very excited about Brander!

He still looks kinda skinny for his size.I think next year if he beefs up a bit he may start to dominate. It would be nice for him to get a game at home on a nice dry deck with the team in top gear.Cameron came into the side off indifferent WAFL form.I do harp on about it;but guns to be,shouldn't spend to long in WAFL without exposure to AFL as they can pick up bad habits and sometimes never get out of second gear.

Waterman is in his 3rd year and Petch has a trait that is unmatched by those in the AFL Let alone WAFL. Brander is 20? Not many 20 year olds dominate. From what you hear through the radio he is showing some good signs.

Not much to add here after watching the replay.

Redden is in good form, his running power in the 4th quarter was still huge. Is a really neat kick if the ball as well. Usually finds a target by hand even when being slung around, loves to stand in the tackle.

Hickey is a genuinely good footballer, can kick the ball, can get on his knees and fight for it, knows when and where to run.

Barrass marking when in front, spoiling when behind. Simple methodology and great outcomes.

Darling playing like the best forward in the game. He's a beast, beats ruckmen in the ruck, never loses his feet in marking contests, runs hard to defend and chase.

Passages of play involving Gaff, Jetta, Sheed, Sheppard, Nelson and Rioli, there was slick ball movement and they all worked really well together through the corridor, or providing run from behind. We owned the centre corridor thanks to these guys.

Ollen can't be defined by stats, very smart footballer.

If Redden can display somewhere near his best in the coming weeks and finals it will help us immensely. When he is in form we rarely lose, because you will get the usual output from Yeo, Gaff and Boots.

Redden is a very smart footballer, he is a pure footballer, tackles hard, tough in close, good footy IQ, great skills.

He's such a softly spoken guy off the field but he's got some mongrel on the field, loves the contest and getting chirpy.

Gave it to Walters in the derby about his theatrics, gets quite fired up.
