Honestly, seeing Saad and Mckenna light it up from half back was one of the better memories of the EFC over the last 5 years.

I'm keen to see how he works with Reid/Ridley. I keep thinking about the May/Lever pairing but I'm not sure if he's as physical as May.

I find it really comforting, as soon as I hear that it was only a pre-season game I immediately stop worrying that we've we've lost to this team the same way for the last 15 years.

I reckon we win by 300 points.

i wouldn't mind seeing a midfield of Caldwell, Durham and Parish largely deployed + Perkins, Stringer, Tsatas and Setterfield rotating through.

I don't count the first game last year because Hawkins kicked 8 and the Cats sealed the win in a first half thrashing.

Even if the game is a win/competitive loss on Friday like most preseason games vs Geelong, we all know it'll be a belting in the real season.

I genuinely can't remember the last time we beat Geelong other than that time Ridley had a break out game and we beat them at the G and that time Melksham kicked the game winning goal against peak Geelong in a thriller.

Yep merrett will look silly if the boys decide to dial it in again, after he’s said v geelong will be a real gauge of how we are going.
