No brainer griff it is if he's 100% fit. He's shows the commitment and goods . At least 2 goals player. He will keep their players honest.

Mackevoy and hale no easy beats especially when there in front of goal.
I'm 100% on Griff, he bleeds purple and if you saw him in the WAFL grand final last year (I think) were he almost dragged his team back into the match, you want a player out there who won't give up.

Seen Clarke drop his shoulders too much, Griff never gives up.

In Tab, Griff, McPharlin(A Pearce if he doesn't get up)
Out: Clarke, Gu, C Pearce
Sub: Suban. Although might swap C Pearce and Suban (Suban was sh/t two weeks ago)

You won't get much more out of Griff than we've already seen. Clarke has shown what he is capable of in the first couple of months of the year. I think Clarke will play this weekend and with the allure of the GF the following week I expect him to receive a very honest discussion with RTB and will come out firing.

The upside with clarke is much higher or do we take a more risk adverse approach and play Griffin where you know what you will get?

In first half of year clarke was clunking everything which made a huge difference in our structures moving forward. I can see why ross has made comments recently about getting zac to play.

RTB has had all the convos with this kid and he has not produced the goods. Whilst Griff has...around the ground and near goals which is what counts. Even against sydney he didn't seem to put his body on the line or break packs.

While outright I still think I we should persist with Clarke, maybe it's best to bring griff in now. He deserves a spot and more importantly a couple of goals from him would help against the Hawks.

Does he really drop his shoulders or does it just appear so, in the same way Natanui looks lazy ?

Hawthorn has a strong defense that will push Clarke around and dominate him badly. Sure, he can run further and faster, but Griff will put up a better contest and will do it repeatedly all day.

Relying on Clarke to get us into a grand final? Please no.

(Will be happy to eat my words if he plays and puts in a blinder.)

Just need to drag Gibson and Lake out of the back 50 and then beat them on the way back. They are not fast.

If Griffin is close to 100% fit, would definitely go with him over Clarke. You can't just magically expect Clarke to all of a sudden change from a nice guy into a mongrel.

Pretty much the same result. Would rather someone attempt to break a tackle or kick it to space than have a long bomb onto Ballas head against Lake.

I get the impression (and I could be way off) that Zac Clarke is leaving at the end of the season. That, coupled with his form of late, means we should play Griff instead.

I agree that the upside of Clarke is greater it's just that we never get to see the upside!

A typical Griff performance > what Clarke has been delivering lately.

You're right it is the same result but it's an extra kick away, so an extra 5-10 seconds to set up the zone and defend, they will know the ball is going to turn over before it does and get into position.;

Is this game still going on?

I heard its already a West Coast Vs Hawthorn Grand Final.

Whateley even said the Hawks should rest Gunston for the Grand Final.
