Green vote is tearing it up in Labor heartland in the outer suburbs. Double digit swings in Stretton and Toohey. Won't wash out as seats, but it's more of a realignment from the inner-city to more classic left types? Vote is up overall.

I loved the shadow youth justice minister earlier in the night being asked to provide an answer to how being tougher on crime will actually be successful and she rambled away with her dot points not really convincing anybody they have the solution to the problems. Watch the excuses when nothing changes in the next few years. They have built almost their entire platform on this issue at least be more concrete about it so people assume you know what your doing.

What goes against QLD Labor is the longevity of their time in office. That argument stacks up right now. It's the ridiculous federal polling which makes no sense considering they have been in office 2 years and Labor is at least trying to do something of benefit when the Libs splashed the money to their donors for years and got away with it and never bothered trying to rein in inflation. Goldfish memories alot of people have unfortunately.

They were always getting a majority but it's not a big a thumping as they thought it was going to be. Miles has done a decent job absorbing the blows to the Labor brand to the point they are within reach of getting back in next election. Currently around 52-48 2PP. Not insurmountable.

I agree fully, I think it is more evidence tbat the fed libs need to change course back to.the centre to have any hope
