Prediction R10: Changes vs North Melbourne

Andy and Banners are comfortably playing better than Crowden atm. As much as I love Mitch if someone is coming out for Giro it is him.
My outs were Crowden and Hamling for Kersten and S.Hill. Crowden already not selected in my predicted team.

Dan Pearce and S Hill in . Crowden and Nyhuis out. There will be a lot of knockers re Dannyle but we need a left footer on the wing. S Hill in for Nyhuis. Tough on Nyhuis but we need the extra run and delivery from the back half with Hill. If Hamling doesn't come up Kersten is all thats available . He doesn't really deserve the call up but our key back depth at the minute is schizen.

We don't have many other options, so he gets a game.

Everyone keeps mentioning his skills specifically by foot.

He's had over 5 kicks only twice in his short career.

Last 3 weeks 2 kicks, 1 kick and then another 2 kicks! That's just bloody terrible. His set shot was deplorable... like truly under 16 type stuff.

But yeah he runs hard. Let's keep giving him games because of that reason.

Needs a spell and some decent WAFL performances. Way off it.
Did you hear Ross’ presser?

He said Crowden needs a spell at WAFL to find the pill. He also said that they were going to leave him out for the Sydney game but went the youth (ie. he got the nod over Danyle).

So Crowden has been confirmed as a definite out.

The Sunday times indicated that he led Freo for metres run (14.1km from memory) and fastest for Freo at just over 32 km/hour. I had a few of those games where it seemed I ran around in circles and never found the pill. After one of those games I actually asked to be dropped. Best thing I ever did and I suspect it is exactly what Crowden needs.

We both agreed last week that he should have been dropped and did nothing to reward the selectors faith.

Those in the mix incl. Kersten, Stephen Hill, Danyle Pearce and Giro.

I would bring shane kersten back for this alone!

Im tipping the move of Kersten to defence and into the team to be a major plus in the coming weeks starting this week if Hamling doesnt get up then he has to come in, but id also pick him ahead of Johnson if Hamling is fit.

Who do you think you'll play on Ziebell given he'll be playing as a forward the vast majority of the time? He's more than capable of kicking a bag if he gets off the leash.

Sorry for the interruption guys. Looking forward to the game, and having a decent gander at your new home ground; looks a treat from what I have seen.

Hopefully a good game, with no injuries.
Hope you enjoy it, but not too much.
Freo grow another leg at home so I think it could be close and as you say, no injuries.

I read a few weeks back that if Kersten was to come in, it would be to bolster our offensive options? Maybe that’s changed with hamling out?

In:Kersten, Hill and Jones
Out: hamling, McCarthy and crowden

I’d put Jones and Kersten fwd and move Cox to defence.

Surely Jones needs at least one decent game at Peel before he gets a crack at the seniors. He has shown very little so far this season for an experienced WAFL player.

As a ruckman he has been behind both Apeness and the Strad at Peel. As a forward nah. At the minute our forward pressure is woefull, Jones forward would hardly improve it.

His run and spread is surprisingly good for a big man, splits packs and good skills. They don’t have him rucking much cause they want to see his craft i50.

Apeness is shot.

He's 22, from Coburg? Who's area is Coburg ? Bombers ?

Coburg was traditionally North recruiting zone. Current VFL team doesn't have any alignment (they were formally aligned to Richmond for a while up until 2013)

Coached by former North player Leigh Adams now.

Nah I haven't seen Jones run and spread or split packs. He is mostly invisible at the minute and at his size that is hard to do. I hope he becomes a class ruckman but at the minute he is showing nothing. Apeness might be shot but he is being preferred as the Peel ruck over Jones.
