Unpopular opinion, but Murphy had a good game.

Shut down Neale and had a few decent posessions.

Cook needs to stay on the wing.

Not sure why Rankine not used in the middle today.

So you’re completely ignoring Murphy’s first half?
Ok cool.

Ugly: the happy clappers being happy with another bottom four season.
Ugly: the crappy slappers being happy being ...the crappy slappers.

Second least experienced team this round, away from home, against a form team, against a massive umpire ride and we finish less than 3 goals down, so you gotta reach for some negative to have a go about. Get a life.

Murphy was better in second half.

Should still be dropped.

Should possibly be dropped for that first half.
Should definitely be dropped for his body of work over the last month. Should not have played today.

Thank God we rushed Smith back in for 22 touches, avg 15 meters gained.

There wasn't any drop-off in Hinge's performance as a result either...

Was there?

The people who predicted we would lose by 10 goals are the ones wetting the bed about an 11 point loss.
You really need to reassess your sleep/urination issues.

Didn't predict we would - HOPED we would.

I get why Brisbane fans would be pissed with the Rankine bump, but also that shit doesn't happen if they don't instigate it in the first place. The Lions are into him, bumping, scragging, just working him over (see Harris Andrews trying to take him out) from the get-go, but then they outraged when Rankine sees someone running at him and decides to get a shot in first. It's just unfortunate for both it resulted in a concussion.

But the talk that Rankine is a dirty sniper is just ridiculous.

Overall I thought the game was played at a low intensity aside from the first half of the first quarter where Brisbane practically won the match. After that initial burst they dropped a gear and maintained their lead while we tightened up to limit their scores. Brisbane decelerating while we limited them lowered the standard of the match noticeably

Our midfield didn't show up. Dawson was horrible, Rankine was ineffective in the middle and didn't seem to play a full game there, and our other mids were largely not productive. We tried numerous things to curb Brisbane's mids, none of which really changed the tide of the game.

Our defenders did a great job to arrest Brisbane's surge, in particular Keane who I thought was among our best players.

Our younger players showed enough to say they should persisted with, while the usual seniors ranged from average to no influence.
