Forget about Curtin coming in because Matt Crouch is available*

(*listed as a test and will return in "coming weeks")
No way he comes into the firsts without a couple of games in the twos.

Smith for starters even though it's unlikely that's a role I'd be reasonably confident Curtin could handle.

Ain't gonna happen. You know it, I know it....
Hawks aren't particularly tall up front, and no doubt we'll already be seeing one of, or both (if Murray doesn't get up) Borlase and Worrell. I personally think a backline trio of Worrell/Murray/Keane is a good mix against their talls. With The Wizard and Ginnivan we'll want to stay reasonably small in a mix of Bond/Michalanney/Hinge/Smith/Nank.

Curtin makes us a little too tall IMO

Curtin to replace ..... BUTTS..... no thank you.
I agree.

But, they had him playing as key defender and now an on the ball role.

Both roles opened up. He has to play.

Ideally he plays wing/mid with some stints down back as needed.

Dawson's role.

Must win game...Crouch will be rushed in.

Nicks would prefer the perceived safety of an experienced player over a kid.

It is why Smith is playing.

The irony being our wins have come from the young guys performing.

Why do you feel the need to post crap like this, sounds like Matt has attacked his rehab like the professional he is, maybe give him some credit for a change. How do you read he'll be up for AFL selection this week from that article?
Luke Nank on 5aa just before sounded like Matt will be playing (and it sounded like he was talking about the ones) this weekend provided he gets surgical clearance.

Again, the absolute hysteria on here from some.

No chance Crouch comes in at all, sounds like he still has boxes to tick and will come back 'in the coming weeks..'

Fantastic result for Crouch and the Physio/Medical team if that's the case..

If that's the case I'll be down on Nicks and the coaches as hard as anyone, that's just setting the player up to fail considering he's obviously not done any contested/combative training in 2 months.

Make Crouch the sub? Start Curtin and if not tracking well sub him for Crouch when a bit of heat will have gone out of the game?

Nope not this week without a run under his belt when we have match hardened/match fit players available in the 2's.

We are going to have to play someone who can defend and run all day on one wing this week.
Massimo D’Ambrosio has been incredible this year and a lot of ball goes through him.

Dawson out gives Curtin the perfect opportunity to be picked

That’s the role Curtin is playing in 2s and playing quite well

Could play a combo of wing , inside mid and half forward like Dawson does

It'd be the young guys performing because the vast majority of our side is young guys.

This idea that there's too many older players in our team is ludicrous.

Ins: Borlase, Ryan, Curtin, Jones, Walker
Outs: Murray, Butts, Himmelberg, Smith, Dawson

B: Bond, Borlase, Hinge
HB: Michaelanny, Keane, Nankervis
C: Sholl, Soligo, Dowling
HF: Rachele, Fogarty, Curtin
F: Keays, Thilthorpe, Walker
R: O’Brien, Berry, Laird
I: Ryan, Taylor, Jones, Cook
Sub: Murphy

Berg unlucky, but I would be nervous with both him & Borlase as the 2 key defenders. Could make him sub instead of Murphy if weather looks OK.

Please!!!!

Curtin received our highest coaches votes after Madgen:
North v Adelaide
10 – Jack Madgen (Adelaide)
8 – Daniel Curtin (Adelaide)
6 – Campbell Combe (North)
3 – Ned McHenry (Adelaide)
2 – Chris Burgess (Adelaide)
1 – Mitch Harvey (North)

This is after polling our only votes vs Norwood the week before and was emergency for the Essendon game. He’s coming in this week for Dawson, zero doubt.

Almost correct. They won't drop Smith.
