52 disposals between our 2 half back flanks is amazing.

Williams is better as a HBF with stints in the midfield than vice versa
This is exactly what Jimmy Bartel said rusty...reckons Williams doesn’t have the tank to start and play in the midfield full time, but can still be used there if we play him differently.

Carlton should start Williams in the backline and play him in the midfield in the last 5-10mins of each quarter, that way he gets to rest in the 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 time breaks instead of running out of petrol half way through each quarter. Makes sense to me.

Glad to just bank the win and move on.

Can’t remember a game so hard to see due to shadows at the G. Between that and the constant stream of people leaving their seats while play was occurring I must have watched half the game on the big screen.

Not surprised the forwards couldn’t take a mark in the second quarter when the ball was coming off the members wing. They were leading out of the sunshine and trying to mark in the shade. Hard for your eyes to adjust.

Still need to add pace and kicking ability to the side.

Walshs 1st qtr one of the best by a blue but seemed to be a bit off after half time. Was the first game he has run under 15 kms in a long time

Watching game for the first time now, Murphy’s third quarter was every bit as good as Walsh’s first quarter.

Thought we were much better defensively, the amount of butchered kicks going forward meant the defensive system was tested quite rigorously and came up trumps

Plenty of little red flags yesterday.

Failure to fly the flag on a few occasions.

Defenders not getting back to the square or the fat side on multiple goal attempts.

No one standing goal side when Breust waltzed through for a goal.

No sacrificial plays in the forward line. Cripps competing with McKay rather than protecting him in the contest.

Coming to a complete stand still as soon as we were four goals up.

And outside of Eddie, not a single player acknowledged the crowd or the cheer squad end when trudging off.

Yes, yes...good win, but all is not right.
Pretty sure Cripps made a Sheppard for Harry in the fwd 50 that allowed Harry to mark the ball at one stage.
Stocker also came in and stood up for Newman in the backline after his tackle.
There were plenty more, not sure what game you were watching.
