May I just say a few words about my son. One day I wandered into Ikon park and fell in love with this bloke in his first training hit out for the club. I banged on about him and was ridiculed. I predicted he would have 25 possessions a game in his first season (he did).

But I digress. He copped a seriously right tag yesterday. It seemed to get on top of him a bit in the third (although his team mates missed him twice). But gee he fought through the tag well.

He is close to unstoppable now. He will take you inside. He will push hard to the outside. His zig zag running is unbreakable. When it is his turn to go he’s as hard as a cats head. He’s balanced forward and back (you should take note Tom Mitchell you cheap footballer).

He tackles. He applies pressure. He is probably our bets oressure act player AND yet is our best score involvement Player.

He is a fu**ifn superstar.

We joke about vanilla Walsh, but that tag should be applied firmly to Mitchell.

Is this Walsh? Looks a lot better when he's playing more outside the contest. Murphy was injected into the centre bounce more this week and came away with three centre clearances. I'm longing for the days where Walsh's centre bounce attendance rate is under 50%.

Keep in mind though, that the pressure act leaders in the AFL are typically those who play around stoppages, and the guys who roll outside the stoppage with the ball tend to get involved in scoring chains more:

Score Involvements vs Pressure Acts

Melbourne's small forwards are definitely the exception here, but they're arguably seeing more opportunity.

Yeah, Nah...
Harry should have stood up for his team mate...
It was disappointing to see, no other ruthless team would put up with that, to one of their own...

Yes, will get a week for it...
Harry didn't even see what happened...

There were reports of Stocker having too much FIGJAM week one he was at the club, he is clearly disliked by Teague who makes him wait longer than anyone for a chance.

If all that is true, and we dont know if it is, I dont think it matters
. We have a lot of high draft picks that are a bit too comfy and it might spur them on.

But you said 'he is CLEARLY disliked by Teague'.

Where is this coming from and do you have any proof to back it up?

Well his mum and dad, 20 yrs and 9 mnths ago approx went to bed and didnt go to sleep as soon as the light went off
My 3 and a half year old asked us where babies come from. Um, go ride your bike mate. Ok dad! Phew

Had a good last qtr

only played well once the sting went out of the game. Watched him closely. Very average again. He’s just lucky that Dow, OBrien, SPS are just a little worse atm. I really don’t see what he adds.
also seems like Fogarty has had a few quiet weeks. Need him up and going next week to keep Rampe and Lloyd etc honest
