How is any of that relevant?
Because so many people are saying that we need a coach more like Dimma and Clarko... checking out the start of their career and comparing it to our senior coach is very relevant considering he is only 37 games in.

I don't like to be too negative, but this is one of the worst wins I have seen attending Carlton games for many many years.
Most other clubs would have smacked us. The lack of structure and systems is so concerning along with poor skills at times.

I normally always support the coach, but I am starting to think that we certainly are not the worst list in the league, but maybe the worst drilled and coached.
I can not remember sitting at the G during a win being so dissatisfied.

It's probably relevant because a few posters were calling for his head today, and that stat shows that good coaches have started off with a worse record so it may be too early to judge him adequately.

I'm not sure if I agree or not, but it's still relevant.

Different tactics, they each started at different stages, different players, different support coaches etc.

Too many variables to mean anything.

Zach Williams and Adam Saad nearly 1400 metres gained between them. I don’t care how much we are paying for them, that sort of effort doesn’t grow on trees. Need to be kept in the backline.

Sad has been very good overall. Forget the * carp. Williams second half was excellent

How can I vote multiple times for Owies... he is turning into a special player up front!

He is one of unique players who arguably underperformed in the VFL but thrives on the Elite/AFL Level.

I mentioned this almost 2 months ago (about Owies deserving of a seniors call up) and alas, no one paid heed to poor Elmer)

Sometimes matute age players like Owies who thought tooth and nail to get a spot on an AFL list, his work ethic he just an intangible Footy IQ and finds his way into the right spot at the right time.

Is there anyway you can enjoy a win for once.

Some will take more out of it than others. We can't have an arbitrary dismissal shutting any discussion down.

Some thoughts:

- nice to win!
- Weitering & Walsh are superstars
- forward line was way too crowded. Should have been open for Harry to lead.
- TDK & Stocker both look like AFL footballers
- kicking must improve across the board before we will be taken seriously
- Setterfield needs to work on core strength
- liked Doc on the wing, and Williams at half back
- bring on Brodie Kemp tomorrow!

‘Here is a stat for all those that want Teague gone

David Teague 16 wins from first 37 games , just got win 17

4 x Premiership coach Alistair Clarkson 10 wins from first 37 games

3 x Premiership coach Damian Hardwick 11 wins from first 37 games

Put that in perspective , give him a break’
Maybe you could hand this to Robert Walls.
For saying such a shit thing before the season even started.

Look the the playing lists Clarkson & Hardwick inherited, Bolton did the hard yards developing a majority of the players in our best 22. Teague should be judged a lot more harsh than he actually has been. I think he is totally out of his depth in the role-Problem is the people that appointed him don’t want to look stupid.

Hawthorn were truly woeful today. Did I read that Kennett reckons they will be playing finals and pushing for their next premiership in a couple of years?

I thought I was optimistic at times, that is truly ****ing insane!

At the basics... football is a game of wins and losses. Clarkson had Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Buddy and Roughead and a number of other top players who were all very young. Still only won 10 games in 37. Dimma, came in after the list mangler and rebuilt the list. 11/37. Richmond replaced all his assistant coaches with good ones and 3 premierships in 4 years. I don't think that they would even consider replacing him any time soon... BUT, both Clarkson and Dimma were under fire after poor starts to their coaching careers, now they are pretty much untouchable.

We're almost 5.5 years into our rebuild after SOS started the list rebuild.
