Was told not to interact with the humans.

Am only here as an observer.😎
believe me these are not the humans you are looking for.........

The problem with getting someone like Ross Lyon in is that we've done that..... Twice! Both times Pagan and Malthouse tried to lift standards and both times the senior players complained about it. Why would it be different this time?

Today was just another reminder that our player culture is very brittle.

Really ? I am not giving Teague and the coaching panel a pass here, but I thought collectively the players were lazy, arrogant and complacent, especially after half time.

Anyhow thank Christ for Patty Mills and The Aussie Boomers. Really lifted my spirits.

My initial impression was that the players brought intensity but were fundamentally outplayed by the better performing team. Gold Coast were relentless, but Carlton didn't actually play terribly, save for a few players.

We're supposed to applaud Cripps for taking a pay cut! LOL he's 1/2 the player he was as a kid. Without the big name baggage, he's worth $500k for 3 years. And that's assuming you can make him work in your team.

Wake me up when this footy department has been nuked and Ross Lyon has traded some snowflakes and set some ******* standards.
Cmon fellas I know you are upset as we all are but please ease off on the Cripps bashing. He’s played most of the season with a broken back and he’ll still be in the Top 5 in our Best & Fairest award this year. I’m sure when he gets himself fit again he’ll get back to the level we know he can produce. Before we worry about Paddy Cripps let’s address areas of genuine problems like slow player development, poor game plan/tactics and questionable list management

Considering what’s going on in the world, I can deal with this.

I give footy a nice serve, but hell, it’s the best game in the world & in its own way, the footy bubble is a nice distraction.👍👍

Would prefer if we weren’t sh*t but.😎
I'm just here for the LOL's and getting a few tonight...

2 years of rubbish footy from Cripps (rubbish for his standards and this year, rubbish in general). It's a big concern and even worse we signed him for 6 years. I've got massive concerns his best is well behind him and this last 2 years is the best we'll see in the next 6 years.....

I’m not saying he’s immune from criticism and he’ll be on the end of a lot this week, but those last posters were making it sound like he was some sort of pariah which I think is harsh.
good for you - I reckon you're right :clapping::clapping::clapping:

I thought Crippa was excellent last week, along with 20 odd others, I thought he was poor to middlin' this week along with 20 odd others. If the Captaincy is an issue ( I was fully in favour of him being skip, not in favour of doc as co-skip) then give it to Weiters or Jsos before handing the reigns to Walsh.

I think he needs to go back to what he does best, get it and give it. Forget the hero stuff, K.I.S.S.

Just about everyone associated with Carlton is made to sound like a pariah after a loss these days. I'm waiting for the day that Captain Carlton and Navy Nina start being blamed for our woes, were running out of people to blame.

Funnily enough blight did exactly that at Adelaide as soon as he arrived - they turned around pretty quick ..

Blight didn't wait until he got there, he told Adelaide that he wanted them gone before he arrived.

I understand Harry up the ground caused a bit of concern on here but I liked seeing it. With both he and Charlie up and running (fingers crossed), we are going to have one of them causing havoc between the arcs and a great release coming out of the backline

Harry was the best contested mark a few years back and got alot of those between the arcs. It's something we have missed all year, that get out kick.

It was unfortunate that Charlie was still lacking touch and as the last qtr showed, Teague should have swapped Harry and Charlie as, firstly, Charlie wasn't doing much fwd and, secondly, when he moved Charlie up the ground he got more of the ball and looked good.

I don't expect much from Charlie, he was better today than last week and hopefully again next week. But he will get so much out of these games if he gets through injury free and a full pre season. Get Harry through the year with his shoulder and cherry ripe and watch out next year.

Be interesting if Harry needs an operation and how they affects his pre season

have you seen either of them recently?

Rest assured I want to see more from him, I think it’s fair to be critical of him and I don’t like to make excuses (last year COVID, this year broken back) but the “rubbish in general” comment is a bit of an overreaction.

Despite being down this season he has still played games where he has been our best player including against Sydney when he had 27 touches and kicked 3 goals, a performance I’d say only 10% of the leagues players are capable of playing.

Gold Coast are a very young and talented team that like many young and developing teams are inconsistent.. They smashed Richmond here a couple of months ago, and pushed the Dogs a fortnight ago.

And they are getting another priority (end of first round) draft pick this year too.

In 2 years time and with a bette coach, they are going to be a Jugganaut. And they had the luxury of dropping Flanders and Rankine too.

We are not the only team in the next few years to get carved up like a Christmas Goose by these Suns.

Over the loss now, no point dwelling on negatives too much mate. Reckon the lockdown is making a lot of us testy/on edge, which is understandable

... in 1996.

There's a pretty substantial list of things that have happened since 1996. Has footy undergone a fair few transformations since that day he turned up at Adelaide?
