Teague can only do so much. Too many out there that aren’t up to it. Cunningham, Dow, Gibbons, Silvagni, Setterfield. Just don’t have a point of difference that you can point to consistently and say that is what they bring to the table.

I think after our last 5-6 games to season 2018 and solid off season recruitment there was a reasonable air of positivity and expectation for 2020. However, fist half tonight shows we still lack the desire to be first to the ball. Our kicking in play, a weakness for quite a while, still evident. Still a half game of football but if we give away more easy goals....

Some people say preseason games mean nothing. It was evident from the very first Marsh game that something wasn't right with Carlton.

Gee Carlton look ordinary. Forward line is way undersized, gotta move Casboult forward in second half?

If they do that, they don't have anyone in the ruck.

You see the players licking their hands and then touching the ball...

Yeah nah sanitise the ball that’ll do the trick.

If the AFL wanted to make money why wouldn’t they give each club 100 tickets each to auction or raffle off?
The lucky fans would still get a whole row each and the club would make a few bucks

Would have been 90k+ it was pretty much sold out before the crowd was cancelled.

It's an entertainment business...if huge crowds want the fixture, the AFL will do their best to deliver.

Would you prefer 10k on the gold coast?

It is actually a sporting competition.

Not much of a prize if watching this shit is the reward.

FYI I also agree with the sentiments that Carlton should be stripped/taken off the season opening game.

It's not much fun watching us get belted in prime time every year. And it would be nice playing a minnow/cellar dweller like The Suns, Freo or St Kilda, so we might kick of the season with a win for a change.
