should i bother watching the replay ? saw the first 2 goals then had to nick off to work
1 comment id like to make and i see it has been mentioned as it goes along the lines of my thinking as well is that the players of the ilk of Balta,Bolton,D.Rioli.Short,Lynch,Graham,Castagna,Baker,Stack (i know he didnt play) are well overdue in the role of hoisting the rest of the side upon theyre backs when the chips are down and inspire the group to come along ? it just seems that we're forever relying on Cotchin,Dusty,Jack,Dion,Edwards , Valustin,Grimes and Nank to do all the heavy lifting all the time even after all these years, thats my observation

Everyone having a crack at Nank, yet crickets about Butler and other numerous incidents

When players, coaches, commentators and even sports journalist cannot question the umpiring or even discuss it post game then they can can call whatever they like whenever they like. No questions asked.Absolute crap.

Ross out, useless wing, couldn’t move the ball down his wing as he was a non-event.

Ralphsmith out. Defensively poor, and kicking was poor. He’s not a HBF, he’s either a wing or nothing.

Castagna out, too many misses, beyond a joke.

Aarts out, waste of time.

4 outs, several others need to be given a heads up that it’s a last chance before some VFL action. Tarrant, Edwards, Parker, Miller,

Kamdyn, MRJ, RCD, Stack.

in essence welcome to world of Wagering & Gambling.
We've entered into the house of wagering under the Umbrella called the AFL.
In that house of wagering once you step in you play to the rules of the house, its not our house remember, its theirs, always, & they make the rules
and they can make and change the rules to suit themselves because they own it,they can even cheat point blank and have no obligation to explain why
because we've decided to enter in on our own accord and take the gamble on the outcome on our own accord, they didnt put a gun to our heads did they ?...so

when you,i,we decide to go to a game of AFL football where wagering, gambling is involved & the AFL is indeed involved in wagering make no mistake
its best be prepared for the possibilty of anything and everything happening, because just like a game of Roulette,Blackjack or Sic Bo at the casino
the corporation running that game can stack the odds so far in theyre favour by numerous means, and believe me they do, make no mistake, that they DO NOT have to explain that stacking to anyone,as far as theyre concerned you dont like it,dont play then,if you decide to play/pay & go along, be prepared for the unexpected because afterall theres $$$$$ involved and lots of it,fairness and equality are nothing but an illusion, theyve never promised fairness or equality before a game as long as i can remember

We only lost yestys game by 3 bloody goals.

Would have won easily with proper umpiring.
Funny thing though we had poor umpiring in 2017,2019 and 2020 did we not? Doesn’t help that’s a given not the reason.

Of course the channel 9 footy show talk about the crows tigers game and nothing about the deplorable umpiring
No doubt dancing on their desks like the commentators yesty.

Yes we did which made 70 point wins 30 point wins.

That’s a cop out.
The umpires didn’t contribute to our horrible kicking skills and our inability to stop their key forwards.

Disappointing losing to a bottom-8 club, but the competition is so even these days that when too many have average or worse performances from too many and the opposition has a high number of players performing above average, you're going to get beaten, especially in an interstate away game.

The umpiring was bloody awful yet again, but TBH, we also gave away too many obvious frees in our attempts to apply pressure. The effort was there over all four quarters which was pleasing, we were just sloppy too often in our execution and that cost us the game near enough as much as the yellow maggot brigade with their infamously 'selective interpretations.'

On the plus side, Cotch had a remarkably good game, one of his best of the last few years, really moved well and was the dominant mid on the ground for much of the game. Shedda showed some positive signs that he is finally running into some form, Vlas had a great return and Meatball had another very solid performance, as did Broad.

The obvious downside of the above list is that all most of the above players are very much in the veteran brigade. Every club has a handful of elite players, the thing that sets top-8 clubs apart from bottom-8 clubs is that they are able to get more from the deep end of their best-22. In our wins and better performances this year we've been able to get way more from the players in that bracket. Yesterday, for the most part, they were outplayed by their opponents. I'm not going to name anyone, my match reviews are designed to focus on positives, you all saw the game.

Dow was OK after a very quiet start, that was about all I could find for other positives in players who performed close to or above expectations.

Next week's going to be a very interesting match. Watched the ski brigade beat GWS after our game and it was their first really ominous performance of the year, they were very good. Prior to that, I would have said we were a red hot chance to knock them off. As things stand, I still believe that back at the 'G we're a chance, but we'll need to play far better and hope a few things go our way.

I know one thing; Dimma will be pissed with yesterday and have us going in with the mindset that knocking off Melbourne is a must to get our season back on track. A few may well lose their spot on yesterday's effort, more will be on notice, I expect us to come out absolutely firing, let's just hope some more genuinely classy execution comes with that maximum effort.

Looking forward to seeing how we bounce back.

Go Tigers! :thumbsu::richmond:

I agree with most on here that the umpiring was poor and it knocked a lot of confidence out of our players to take the game on and play that high pressure game with risks. It left the players in two minds and hence Adelaide took advantage of it. Still not convinced the club is doing the right thing playing guys like Castagna Aarts Edwards and Jack over Gibcus, Sonsie, Mansell and other kids. It's time to invest in the future and get games into the kids as these guys are done and taking us nowhere. People can argue Edwards had a good game, but it's been a long time between drinks.

I'm liking the 'it was only three goals' narrative from some.
The same people who trip over themselves denigrating the opposition each game week and making them out to be less adept than an under-13s battler.
So in fact, any loss is a surprise.
Hope you are well old champ.
And agree, it's time to move on from the likes of Castagna, Aarts and Edwards.
