That was god-awful…Yes we’re the 9th team to lose after the bye…But shouldn’t you be fresher, and start like Hawthorn did…? It looked like more of us had Dusty’s symptoms, but we’re not gonna announce that…And we’re not gonna review this much either…Brizzy aren’t that good, and we’re not that bad…But the final 8 is not for us…Be good to try three more kids next week…👍

What’s the difference coming off the bye in the home and away. Then coming off the bye in the Finals after winning the QF?

Doesn’t make sense!

There are a number of mitigating factors.
Rusty after the bye (no team has won the week after the bye against a team that played the week before); Dusty and Prestia out, followed by Short; Brisbane in Brisbane in full flat-track-bully mode.
The loss is not as bad as the score line suggests.
I’m prepared to reserve my judgment on basis of how we respond v swans , for so many senior players in , it was a diabolical performance,,, that’s something you’d expect to see playing 6 juniors < 10g experience,,,, combined

It’s starting to become a concern under McQualter. We’re -93 in inside 50s over the 5 weeks McQualter led us. The big contributors to this differential were our -22 inside 50s against Port Adelaide, -23 inside 50s against GWS, and now -30 inside 50s against Brisbane.

Even with our midfield here, we’re still copping bad inside 50 differentials.
The trend I like from first 4 games was that our oppo failed to score > 75p that puts you in a pretty good position to win games of footy . Dusty and pres were a major blow to midfield , still we had a lot of experience out there avd we were meek resistance
First move is in soldo out Ryan the kids up and down on one spot right now

Won and lost in the midfield in the first half
They had absolute dominance especially in terms of contested ball

Taranto copped a heavy tag and Hopper worked his way into the game with a fair bit of time off but Bolton was completely missing and Cotch only had a few cameo appearances

Would of been nice to have Prestia and Dusty to help mix up those midfield stoppages but both are over 30 as well and won’t be around for the long term

Really need Sonsie or even Dow to step up in the vfl so they can add to our midfield mix at afl level

I can see Sonsie making it once he learns how to defend but Dow is a very good VFL player at best, he has a very small frame to be a beast in the middle at AFL level.

Agree mate
Definitely need to look at getting some experienced depth in the midfield just for the short term while Sonsie develops
Hopefully next year it comes together for him but if it doesn’t we need someone who can come in and play a role if needed for a few years while we develop and recruit a few young gun Mids

Unfortunately very good quality mids don't grow on trees these days and once they're discovered they get snapped up very quickly on long term deals.

Not going to happen really. McQualter is trying to squeeze as many wins as possible to land the senior gig. He looks to have no interest in rewarding the likes of a Banks or trying out any of Bauer, Biggie or Bradtke up forward and our forward lines a complete basket case.

McQualter is basically a very watered down version of Hardwicks cordial. The club has the following KPF options: an ancient Riewoldt who's played 3 very good games 1 great and 10 stinkers. He's cooked but he won't rest him. Lynch's years done.... Could even diminish what's left of his career. Ryan and Miller are treading water as FWD's. By season's end most likely Riewoldt retires. Lynch is still around but now old and injury prone. Ryan can Ruck but can't mark and against the number 1 gun defenders could be a complete embarrassment as he's struggling on nobodies. Miller's into his 6th year and pretty average really.

Biggie, Bradtke and Bauer are all a complete mystery even more so for the list managers..... Do we delist the wrong one who becomes the next Stengel AA at his next club? WTF knows because he refuses to try any, when realistically with Lynch out they all should've and could've played 2-3 games each already.

Interesting to see if he brings any in after Riewoldt, Miller and Ryan combined for 15 touches, 6 marks and 0.0. But I seriously doubt he will. Same with Banks, surely he could replace Ralph Smith or Clarke?

Need to give all the kids some games. Let’s face it even if we play finals, we wouldn’t last. #pla#playthekids

whats really dissapointing is that the cupbard is bare. develop some kids please. maccwalter was beret of any ideas. beat tartantual beat richmond. pathetic centre clearances this problem has been there for years. I think if we go down we go down. make calls on macca, graham, cotchin and jack. grimes is fading badly. thank goodness for broad vlas and balta. how about some mids who can get it? hence we need to get currency for graham. coaches need to address our needs.

Wouldn’t be dropping Clarke or HRS for Banks they are both young players and the best thing for them at this point is to get afl experience and we as fans need to ride it out in terms of performance

Both had some shockers last night but also had some great moments as well so overall that is a net positive for them going forward
If you want to get Banks into the side it should be for a Pickett, Graham, Kmac type who are either in the last two years of careers or underperforming in the roles they are in for Grahams case

cant even vote for our backline warriors

Look Whos Talking Now Omg GIF
It’s all turned to shit with the new mod

Can’t really say the cupboard is bare when we have 5 plahers under 50 games playing last night 6 if we include Ross

Throw in MRJ, Banks, Brown, Dow and Sonsie who are at the point where they could be selected for the SR side but still need some work as well but all of them apart from Dow will probably be on the list next year and will be in the mix for best 22

Plus our other draftees for this year we have plenty of youth to work with it’s just a matter of letting them develop and riding the ups and downs of having guys without much afl experience in the sr side

We need Pickett to play 100 games

Make him sub

I get where you are coming from, but the whole idea of that is wrong.
The now is every bit as important as the future and the possibility of what might happen down the road.
You don't plan for father-sons .. it's a bonus when they happen.
He needs to earn 100 games.
