how does graham keep getting picked?
Was pretty good first half doing a lot of the grunt work. Like a lot of mates he faded after half time.

A decent indicator game of where the club is at. Did not see any exceptional coaching as a catalyst for the pussy turnaround. Simply that Pussy stayed in the game. Tiges got gassed, then injured and structures broke down.

If fitness and conditioning we to the competition standard we beat a pussy side that is clearly also struggling at the minute.
Midfield dominance. Atkins, Bowes, Bruhn, Stengle & Holmes dominated clearance. Centre clearance too. Sent the ball into their 50 again and again. . GFC double our marks inside 50.

I don't see the Cats much but Atkins, Bowes, Bruhn, Stengle & Holmes got a little bit of experience on Baker, JG, Kmac2, Dow.

Prestia & Bolton were too big a loss.

Fitness? GFC outsprinted us 301 to 286.
RFC outran GFC 298 to 294km

Hopper, Tarranto, Prestia wouldda been handy for a start.

RFC - 1 Win, 5 ACL's.
8 ACLS if you count the VFL
They had the Cats theme song blasting to ear piercing levels and then played the Richmond song at a whisper at the ground.
Talk about disrespectful.
That is why the first half was so good being there ... Cat crowd was shell shocked .... silent ... Tigers supporters where loud ... was so good being there for that
pickett only needs 10 games to reach 100 and he'll finish on 97 or 98 this year

would be just our luck if he goes to gaol and finishes on 98
Just make him sub the next few weeks ... and roll him onto the ground ... in the last five minutes after each week like we do all our other subs

Crazy ... we desperately needed Smith's run off half back in the second half ...

Thought pressure was outstanding in first half , possibly best I’ve seen from us this year . Credit to the young blokes , but like what happens with most young sides , when the heat came, we didn’t have much resistance. This is where experience helps , how many times we said that

I’m just praying Mykelti is ok ,would be so cruel for him to have done his knee again and risk his career at the level ,,,hoping for the best

Was only able to watch the game in bits and spurts, but I saw a few promising signs.

Seth Campbell looked back in the kind of form that he started the year with.
Sonsie showed a few promising moments.
Ryan held a few marks ( mostly chest marks, but it's a start)
McAuliffe looked like he's getting used to the pace difference from VFL.

Bauer had a very decent game at VLF for his first (maybe?) for the year.
The 2 MSD debutantes also looked quite good.

I kind of feel that not enough attention is given to the dumb decisions that our players make over and over. We lost because we kept giving the ball back to them. I’ve watched a number of Geelong games this year and almost all their scores originate with turnovers and next to none of their scores come from stoppages or hard-ball gets. They play a pissy, bruise-free style of football. Where we lost the game was when we kept kicking it to Geelong outnumbers.

Yze said he might rest older players. Maybe Broad rested too.
INs. Prestia has probably been managed for these sort of games; Kosi for Le Fau surely; Bolton, Smith in the 22 but Short either IN or OUT,. sadly IN
Cumbo/Sonsie may be in danger.
Green was quite.

Can't see the mid season boys in ahead of Bauer, TResize

cant expect much more in reality, didnt have a top 10 draft pick past 11 years on the field last night
there sides runnin around this w/e with as many as 6 top 10's in same time frame, possibly more
when 50-60% of ya top end talents in the stands is always gonna be an up hill battle

we are basically going to tank this game in favour of being a legitimate chance against the hawks for dustys 300th, which is fair enough since we don't have much else to play for this year. Seen some journalists suggest Nank and Vlastuin will also be rested for the adelaide game.

Out: Lefau, Pickett, Martin, Vlastuin, Nank

In: Gray, Smith, Prestia, Tresize, Kozi

Broad, Balta, Brown
Short, Miller, Rioli
Ralphsmith, Graham, McIntosh
Sonsie, Cumberland, Campbell
Mansell, Gray, Kozchitske

Ryan, Baker, Prestia

Smith, Mcauliffe, Dow, Tresize

Good points. I’d also like to see us with a game plan that’s more commensurate to our ability.

We need tall marking forward that's why I think grey gets a game
I don't think they will play bolton right on the cusp of 12 day concussion protocol
Short as the sub as he has difficulty running out games. Kozi might come in no problem there
Just think tresize and Bauer give them 2 more vfl matches
Then play both in the senior team last 9 weeks after bye
