I still have concerns about our midfield depth but O’Meara, Worpel, Cousins and Shiels were all excellent today.

The defensive structure was superb and the whole team was incredibly disciplined.

Worpel putting in some good efforts as a inside mid and tough tackling too

Happy for Cousins, JOM and Worpel getting 2 goals a piece, its good for the confidence playing mid and kicking 2 goals and having close to or over 20 poss

Sicily was huge again.

overall we played a good pressure brand of football and everyone played well, looking forward to next week.

Reports of our death are grossly over-rated. A lot of people very upset by the Hawks winning today, and the media don't know what to say.

They are afraid.
It's a 'he's back moment' for the other clubs and they know Wingod and Scully are to start within weeks, so we should get stronger. Heck, there is the slim possibility Mitchell will be back at the end of the year. How would that be going into finals?

Very nice win. We should have won by 7 goals. Scrimshaw looked really good, safe and great ball handler.

Strange game...

Score flattered then in the end. We played pretty negatively in the last to help that.

Our team selection flattered them... then the dubious team selections generally stood out as better players!

But at the end of the day a win is a win is a win.

Mirra was excellent at worst... sublime at best yet I was surprised he got picked.
Impey and Sicily destroyed the first half.
Jaeger after destroying them early got tagged by Sloane... which played into our hands, Sloane is by far their best player and facilitator.
McEvoy was good and Cegs even started to smash packs. Gunston was unique wasn't fit enough to play, couldn't kick straight yet was still our most influential forward. Worpel is just a fricken workhorse.

I could go on about a few who struggled but who gives a damn we tonight... a game 90-100% thought was unwinnable for us.
Loved small dick Dal Santo's comments after the game... "I found it really hard to work out where Hawthorn were going to end up this year... so I didn't know where to put them" No you didn't Dickhead you had us 15th and you said we were ****ed... and heading to more failure.

That'll be my vent for today.
Eddie sitting on Stratton after giving a free kick away will be my vent the next time I hear something otherwise. If Stratts had done that to Eddie it probably might have made front page News.
