Watched a bit of rugby over the summer and noticed clubs with a young lineup tended to fade in the last few minutes of each half.

Expect good first two quarters and shot second

But we will beat teams

looking forward to hopper almost kicking but changing his mind mid kick and turning and turning then handballing to a bloke in trouble in the last second
Hopper destroyed them last year. Hoping for the same again.

Firstly I would have no hesitation playing Macca until a younger player demands his spot and at this stage it hasn’t happened. However CB17 and others, labelling someone a player hater because they have a differing opinion on a players ability is just bullshite. Grow up with your dumb comments. No one hates a player. They just dislike that he’s getting a game over others they prefer. They are entitled to their opinion without being labelled “hater”.
He hasn't demanded his spot. He averaged 11.3 disposals a game last season, mainly playing forward in some sort of defensive capacity. Hugo took a wing and he lost the other one. Now he is being asked to play centre midfield, something he has never done and in reality it is a big ask. Plus it makes our old and slow midfield slower and older.

I don't mind if he has a crack in the middle as a purely defensive player, hit hard and attack the ball and man. But if you asked McAuliffe to do the same I'm pretty sure he would do it better, and add offensive flair. It may be worth a shot, but it will be some sort of revelation.

We can win this! Stranger things have happened.

If we don't get done over by the umps we are a chance.
Bookies have Richmond at $10 and Carlton at $1.05. You rarely have odds that wide let alone and upset to go along with it.

It would for sure be one of the biggest upsets of the last decade.

Bauer 2nd ruck, called it ;)

On a serious note though, makes far more sense than playing another lumbering genuine ruck in Sampson.
we are a player down with ryan on the field, harsh but thats the reality. bauer could be the shane griggs of the new era

So he hit 8 out of 10 disposals. Cool.
21% clanger means that 2 out of 10 disposals went straight to an opposition player. It doesn't mean that 8 out of 10 disposals went to a Richmond player or even to the advantage of a Richmond player. The chances of that are is way, way, way less, unless he did it by accident of course.

Thought McIntosh was one of our best in both pre-season matches. 30 touches against Collingwood, and while it was bad efficiency, it isn't much worse than Taranto, and McIntosh doesn't play mid very often. Either way he certainly won some good contests
get the feeling hell be a horses for courses centre square mid. thursday his prime directive is nullify cripps. he massacres us.

Think they will opt to put Hopper head to head with him to start off
Been a pretty even battle in the past when Hops has been fit

If we tag anyone i would be putting the clamps on Walsh

Cripps will win his fair share of it on the inside even with a hard tag but it’s when he can feed it out to that mother ****er that we will see our backs put under massive pressure

Great. so Taranto plays like s### and McIntosh plays slightly less s### so that justifies his position. The real question is what the advantage in playing either of them.

this wouldnt surprise me

Kmac shutting cripps out would keep us in the game far longer, the oaf kills us every time

honestly believe Hop's will be one of our best on the nite.
man's primped and ready to go!
He's looking big and fit. I don't think we've seen this version of Hopper thus far. Looks like the GWS model that was a beast. Dimma slimmed him down to try to turn him into a more outside player which was ridiculous and as a result he couldn't compete at the level he used to.
